If you don't let this faction extort you for caches they will hospitalize you repeatedly after war and just be all around nasty people to you in PM. Just want any potential members to be aware of the kind of people they're potentially going to join. I recommend going to a friendlier space.

I've always been reminded of the trolley problem with people like this. People who go out of their way to be jerks for no reason online because there are no consequences must have such sad and unfulfilling lives that it's more humorous than upsetting to me. Have always been thankful they mostly only really display behavior like this when anonymous.
I played the shit out of ARK years back, and someone destroyed all of my hundred or so hours of hours of work. Not to take the valuables I had, but to destroy the things I cared for. When I asked them about it, they simply answered "pvp".

There's a reason you have a new faction every few weeks. You're a mean-spirited person who likes drama. I messaged your next spouse after you pulled that psycho stuff on me and surprise surprise, you did the same thing to them.
To give context to anyone reading this, I was maybe a month old player and my faction advised me to find a marriage partner to split PI costs with. I make a post in the thread regarding this and OP messages me, saying they already have an island we split the costs and you're good to go. Easy enough, right? So about a week goes by and OP messages me (with a title called "Our Marriage..." haha) asking why I haven't paid upkeep. Confused, I google rented properties and find out on top of the rental cost, there is a daily upkeep as well. I did not know this, and apologized and sent the user a few million and stated I could pay the rest of my half in a day when bank investment was done. They moaned about how I betrayed their trust and all that junk, so after a few attempts at being reasonable I called them a crazy person and divorced them. This triggered me being attacked relentlessly and me bountying OP back until I mostly caught up in stats at which point they stopped.
Divorcing this person was clearly the correct choice as they are pictured here making a reference to gas chambers based on a perceived insult by one of the game's admins, who has responded cordially. They also kept making awkward RP talk calling me dear and shit, it was weird.

Some of the things people send, especially when they find out someone is a woman online, can be incredibly unsettling. It was quite unsatisfying to find out staff didn't care about what my wife was experiencing
While this is not what you are referring to, I actually agree with your statement.
The ability to send mail or money anonymously allows people to contact you without you being able to identify the user to ignore them. This directly facilitates harassment and is straight up a game mechanic.
That's common in this game. When you choose to retaliate, you are inviting the person to escalate further, or even rope their faction mates into the deal.
I recommend just not giving a fuck. Bounty jerks if you feel the urge. If you get max med cooldown there's infinitely more productive ways to spend your time.
Torn reminds me of this game I played about hobos about 15 years ago. Was lots of fun. I have seen mentions to not name other games directly so not mentioning it here.
I do think the few things that game had on TORN was the side activities and adventure content. You could raise pets which was neat, and the shopping cart races were fun too. There was also some campaign to go through as your character progressed in strength that was fun to follow.
I think torn maybe used to have a pet system? I saw someone mention dogfighting?
You do realize acting that way to an internet stranger is incredibly f**king weird right? If you want to gather info on them so you can figure out when they are active for war, do so.
Trying to hurt somebody by revealing you dug through their info and throwing their personal details at them via pm is not going to get a good response. Especially mentioning their irl partner? Just a bad choice overall. I'd have blocked and reported you too.

They harass others in their spare time. Mostly new players without any backing so as to avoid any blowback. They use things like anonymous mail to send creepy messages to new players.
One really must wonder how unfulfilling a life must be to get satisfaction from such a thing.
Leo is one of my favorite torn players. He just doesnt have a mean bone in his body. Highly recommend befriending the guy.

I want dual samurai swords because I like the idea of them, but the price and lack of bonuses on the item makes them a bad investment.
