After my faction got it's first two ranked wars under it's belt, I decided what better way to blow some of this cash than making more cash!

Then I remembered it's Christmas time, and how long most investments take, so I decided to give some money away to help new players instead.

Thus, I have come up with...

The Trash to Cash event!

Instructions

The event is simple. Send me whatever garbage you have laying around, be it receipts, empty boxes, clothes, or anything else you don't give half a shit about, and put the message as: "Trash to Cash." (This is to make it easier for me to find everyone's entries.) You can also buy up any cheap items if you want, to try to boost your shots at one of the big prizes. At the end of the event (the 19th) the people with the most items sent will win fabulous prizes. I'll also be giving away $1m each to 10 lucky participants, with each participant having the same chance to win regardless of how many items they sent.

No trades. I can't go back and check every trade to see exactly who sent how many items. The same goes for parcels.

Recently I started a giveaway called Trash to Cash (which you can see here) where players send me a piece of trash and they might win something from the prize pool. Parcels aren't accepted, because it's hard to see who sent what parcels in the logs, and they could have items such as horse heads or small explosive devices in them. So I'll be giving away any parcels that were mistakenly sent to me in this thread.

All you have to do is post a reply, and I'll gift wrap and send you one of the parcels at random. 

Limit of one per player, let's spread around the cheer instead of hogging it.

A while ago, I hosted a giveaway called Trash to Cash, where new players could send me garbage items (bricks, beers, receipts, ect.) to be entered into a lottery. I didn't accept parcels because I can't go and count how much is in each parcel, but some people sent in some parcels anyway. I also have a few parcels from other things laying around. So I'll be giving a free parcel to anyone who replies to this thread! Limit of one per replyer, and I can't guaruntee that there aren't any horse heads or SEDs, so open them at your own risk.

yep, there's also a seperate set of perks in the same tree that reduces the effect of the addiction points but doesn't change how much is gained

it reduces the addiction gain from using drugs

your maximum nerve will increase (in increments of 5) based on your overall crime skill

your nerve bar before other modifiers, like merits, is referred to as natural nerve bar (NNB) and can be used to compare crime experience, which is a hidden stat

i agree that the massive amount of AI avatars are getting real annoying, but i also agree with the point that banning them isn't the right move because it would be infringing on free speech, on top of torn's ads using ai so they probably wouldn't do it anyways

read as: the ai sloppers would bitch about it endlessly if it happened

what i would really love to see is a requirement to mark all ai PFPs, faction/company banners, and signature images as AI, and a setting to hide all AI images and replace them with a placeholder, i prefer an empty PFP to an AI PFP and doing this wouldn't be hurting anyone's rights, plus it'd finally make the (currently rather stupid) argument of "just don't look at it!" actually valid

however, it is important to note that any level of moderation on AI images has the potential to be a massive pain in the ass for the staff to keep up with, between people being retards and refusing to mark their AI images (i know there will be at least a few) and people who just forgot to mark it as AI when they upload

it does say this in the suggestion, i don't terribly disagree with being able to choose the scenario level but definately not the exact scenario

i do have an idea for how this could be changed though

something like a slider that lets you select the range of OCs you want, with a narrower selection of OCs / selecting mostly higher level OCs costing more scope to spawn one in, here's a shitty graphic i whipped up as an example

being able to choose the exact scenario would lead to everyone picking the exact same scenario that's marginally the best and leaving the others unused, while it would be more profitable i disagree that it would be better from a mechanics standpoint

it would also screw with the value of other items needed for those OCs that would get left behind, and drive up the price of the items for the OCs that are being run, which could affect crimes that give those items
