If it’s sellable, I’m probably interested. Let’s chat!
It was about an obscene thing happening to a person's daughter. It was honestly really weird and made me cringe when I read it. No one wants to read graphic things like that when perusing the forums.
"Starting a new faction costs $1,000 x number of factions currently in the game, although a faction can be purchased for less in the faction buying and selling thread in the forums." (Here's a link to the direct forums for buying/selling, in case it is needed: https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=9&t=15907647&b=0&a=0).
So… are you going to tell us how they scammed you? This doesn’t really explain anything as I don’t even know how someone can be scammed out of their E lol
Meh. I don’t see my gender as part of my play on Torn. I keep to my faction, trading, and married another woman in game who has since decided to leave due to real life stuff. It doesn’t even usually come up outside of the forums.

14:57:49 - 23/12/25 You sent a Christmas Present to lilderp with the message: Merry Christmas! I hope it’s a wonderful one. ❤️
Congratulations to you all! I left since I knew I was going on vacay and didn't want to be dead weight, but I am so glad to see you all pulled through. :3
As for me, I enjoy Torn because of my amazing faction mates and the sentimental tie to my dad as he was the one that got me into it. But gameplay wise, I find that the opportunities are nearly limitless for finding something to focus on. Whether it's trading and running my own bazaar, maximizing a happy jump, focusing on leveling crimes, or just checking out the fun roleplay games in the forums, I always have something to keep me entertained. I can get bored a little easy so it helps ease the tension by exploring multiple parts of the games separately. :D
These are so cool! Was glad to see you get a keepsake, Omanpx. I don't feel like I'm active enough in the forums for this to be interesting, but maybe in the future. LOVE reading everyone else's hahahah!
The em dash does not automatically mean the post is AI. I have papers from 8-10 years ago that I wrote that include the em dash because I preferred it over a comma or parenthesis. I hate that it has became an “AI” thing when it has been present in writing for so long. Where do you think the AI learned to write with it? Even novels from years ago use the em dash.
Amazing! It's funny, cause I knew it had to do with sending him money but I had tried to send a different amount. I never would have figured out the exact amount. Great job!
Others can use a temporary that makes M'oal vulnerable to normal attacks and you can def still do some damage with low strength. I haven't committed much to it, primarily going for Dex first, but I was able to get in a few attacks on M'oal myself. I only got to hit once with the server going down and him flying away once I landed lol. I took that as my sign and resigned from attacking this year, which is okay, I got to focus on getting candies from normal attacks. :D
Probabilities are funny like that. Like reading the story of the balloon that was let go by a little girl with x name and it traveled miles away only to be found by another little girl with x name. I can't remember the exact details of age and name, but they were the same, and they had relatively similar styles even. It was on a podcast and they actually went through and did the math and when factoring in all the variables, such as common names, demographic of people there, etc., it actually was more likely to happen than we'd ever imagine.
I'd assume it's the same principle here, especially with them saying simulated runs yielded the same results. Another real life example is the same person winning the lottery, it is much more likely than we think, too.
I agree. I think people should be able to use the benefit they've spent so much time working towards. Even though I can see both sides, it doesn't mean I agree with OP. (:
I can see where you're coming from, but I also see the perspective of people who have waited years and years to accumulate the candy needed to even summon him. They should get to use their benefit, too. Only way I could see counteracting it is to increase the amount of candy to summon, but then it kinda feels like they did all that work for years for nothing, ya know? Tough one.
My dad quit playing World of Warcraft since I mainly played competitively and he wasn’t into that. He looked for a new game and found Torn and the faction I’m in. He said they were really nice people willing to help us learn the game and it was something we could do together so I joined.
I started during the time we had Christmas Town, which was really nice. We would talk about the game and little things we had found all the time. Eventually, he had a disc in his back move out of place and had to be put into a wheelchair. Torn then became our favorite hobby together as I pushed him around wherever. Once he had back surgery and was up and moving again, he decided to leave Torn since school and work was taking up too much of his time, but I stayed.
I love the people in my faction and it is somewhat sentimental now since my dad has moved to a different state and we don’t see each other much anymore. I will be sticking around, for sure. :D
Oooh, I just had a visit to Boston this past summer to visit the Harvard Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography. It actually has some really cool places to check out and I recommend visitors to visit the CityPass site to get access to some tourist fun while you're in town. It gives like 4-5 passes for one price, so def worth checking out. Hope everyone has fun with the TornCon!!! :D
