I've thought about this for a while. You can do nearly everything in torn. Why not fish? This can be a detailed addon, which include rare fish that when eaten give certain abilities, or even negative abilities. The type of fish you can catch is determine by the type of boat you own, when you are located, the type of tackle you have, what tou use for bait and foshing skill. If this is received positively then ill write up more and make it more detailed.

Catch and release, increases fishing experience 2x.

Increase speed by 100x players lvl when eaten( 5hr cool down)

Sword fish-

can be sold to fish market for 1,000,000 x lbs or can be transformed into sword fish sword (melee weapon) chance of catching 1-1000



Electric Eel-

Temporary weapon- leaves victim unable to attack for 1 round. 1 time use. ( chance of catching 1-2000)

Used to create spotlight helmet (armor items, helmet) when worn stealth decreased by 15%.

15 needed to forge helmet. Only available in submarine.



Deep sea cucumber-

Melee weapon, only available from submarine.



Radio active puffer fish (super rare)



50% chance refill energy, refill nerve, and 2x happy

50% chance 47 hr hospital time for fish poisoning.

24 hr cool down.

Permits- each player in torn is allowed 2 permits per day which allow you to go on fishing trips.

Ways to obtain more permits

-commercial fishing license

Item which can be purchased that grant 1 extra permit per day (extremely rare)



- 1 day fishing pass

Item which allows 1 extra fishing permit. One time use.(rare) (posible stock benefit item)



Chartered fishing trips

The ability to purchase a large boat and take people on fishing trips. These spots will be filled be anyone in torn. They will.purchase a ticket. Will not use up a permit. Fish caught drastically decreased when on charter. Owner of boat must buy a charter licence and complete captains education courses. Barriers of entry could be high charter license fee, expensive boats and long education times.



Added crime element.



Added the ability to keep illegal fish. These illegal fish will be very rare with very large benefit. However, getting caught results in extensive jail time, hefty fine and possibly an OD like Cooldown in which now fishing can be done. This crime is optional. Can always decline and throw the fish back.
