This has been my approach from the beginning. If I get something free by the kindness of a stranger, that's fantastic and I should be grateful, but I also need to be self-reliant and account for the possibility every single offer in the forums might pan out to be nothing at all. In the end, I'm out nothing but a few keystrokes if it falls through. In the meantime, I'll keep grinding, and I hope everyone else will too.
