As of late, I have noticed that Torn (doesn't matter which page is being viewed) is using a lot more memory and CPU than normal.. I can refresh reddit and any other pages just fine and they're at almost 0% CPU usage, but Torn is using more than some light Desktop games..
Sometimes upwards of 20% CPU usage and 200MB of memory.. This is not normal.
Tested on MacOS Catalina 10.15.5, Chromium 83.0.4103.116 and Firefox 78.0.2, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4980HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz, 16GB of RAM.
What happens to failing an OC or getting a drug overdose? Are we still going to be in hosp for 83hrs? OR did the time for those also get nerfed? This was left out of the post. Also for existing cooldowns, it makes no sense that the max cooldown got nerfed but not the existing cooldown. So if you were in the middle of a war with 24/24 cooldown, you woke up to 24/6 and have to now wait 18 hours by which time the war has ended as revives fail. Should also mention, that it uses energy per failure as well..
EDIT 3: I turned off revives for now. Everyone is trying to revive me. I only have 1% chance still so you're wasting your E! :D Yeti already tried and it failed, with 15,000 revives under their belt.
EDIT 2: Seems the cooldown bug where it turned from 24/24 has been fixed so that it is now 6/6 instead of 24/6 with 18hrs wait time.
EDIT 1: Many revivers with 100 skill failed :l Apparently it shows the percentage of chance to revive you now.
:D 100 revive skill, 1% chance to revive. I'm going to be in hosp for a long time. Might as well log off for the rest of the day. GL to anyone in the middle of a war with max revives, and failed an OC or got a drug overdose.
25 is actually quite enough. If you look at the source code for CityWatch, you'll notice that it makes way less calls. Also, the APIs return "time until".. You can easily add a timer to your code. When it ticks, you display a notification to the user. Add some leeway to account for latency and you'll be fine.
Some of your scripts are like Dos attacks. You don't need 50 calls per minute. There's 60 seconds in a minute. Why do you need to refresh things almost every second?
I smell bad developers. Your apps must probably use quite a bit of bandwidth and CPU usage. I'd delete anything making that many calls per minute.
As the title states: "What kind of players become the target of a mission?"
By that I mean, does the player have to be inactive for X amount of days before they are considered "mission worthy"? I noticed some of the missions seem to include legit players such as PlayerID: 1639418.
He's active but my mission was to hospitalize him. So.. how do legit players become part of missions?

Ahh!!! Sorry! I forgot to turn off extensions. I didn't even realize it was part of a plugin :( You are 100% correct. Sorry again, next time I will disable extensions before posting.
1. Go to items. 2. Select Xanax. 3. Close the menu. 4. Select Xanax. 5. Select Xanax. 6. Select Xanax. ....
Notice that it shows "cons: -35% stats" and other effects in "red". However, it quickly disappears. The first time you select Xanax, it displays as: [image: i.imgur.com]
But if selected more than once, it will start to disappear or flicker. The red part of the menu does not render anymore. You can get it to render again by going to `Items` again and re-selecting Xanax.

I tried all of it. Even rebooting. Nothing works. I ended up switching to Firefox instead. Works just fine.
I decided to try to debug it using Chrome's performance tools.. before debugging, I got: [image: i.imgur.com]
After debugging it, I see a TON of calls to `requestAnimationFrame`.. I see the same in FF, but it takes a ton less resources and it's much much faster to complete (IE: less duration)..
Still no idea which scripts are causing it (if any) or what is happening, but for now, I've switched to FF just for Torn and use Chromium for everything else.

If I don't find items in the city for months OR I don't check the city map for items for months, does it pile up?
I have never checked the city for items even once since it got the "map" menu.. and today, I decided to browse it to see what there is or who owns what territories.. but then I see this circular icon that is different from the others.. so I start clicking it.. and I see more and more of them.. and once I realized they were items, I clicked every single one..
Until I realized I had found HUNDREDS of items in the span of a few minutes (and got 2 merits for Find 50 items in the city - "I'm Watching You" and some other one).. when before I had never found a single one ever (in months to years)..
The top background behind the `TORN` logo does not render correctly. It glitches and renders sometimes.. after a couple seconds or clicking something, it can change to render incorrectly again.
Chrome on MacOS Catalina. Doesn't just happen on login. It happens within the game as well.
Hmm. I tried training. It doesn't come. I got the speed one back in December 2018 and the strength one back in October 2018.. The thing is I've have the same "equal" stats for a long time and I've seen these awards on the wiki for a some time now so I thought it was a bug that it's this late.
The thing is, I have received this only after receiving 115,000,000 (115m) Dex.. I have over 400m total stats (for months now) and apparently there's a 100m total stat as well as 100m single stat award but somehow I'm getting 10m only now even after being well over the requirement?
The weird part is that I've got the "Gain 100,000,000 strength" and speed, but missing the defence and dex ones, and yet only 10m total? It kinda doesn't make sense that I've been awarded the 100m single stat but not the total stat one.
Is the merit system broken or should I be waiting longer?
Ever since the damage count got nerfed (from millions of dmg to 10K dmg) and HP went from 100K to maybe 5K.. attacking has been shit.. Every update to attacking has gradually gotten worse.
Damn.. I see a lot of "High-ID" players on this thread..
Back in my day, they used to have a hall of fame that showed other player's stats and who was the strongest at the top (it got removed).. Minigun was #1 weapon and super rare and hard to get.. then 9mm Uzi came out and everyone got it.. and being level 1 with the name "someone" but super strong was the best thing ever (guy would attack you and it'd say "someone" left you lying on the street and it wasn't stealth; you check his level and it's lvl 1 and you die a little inside).. You used to be able to see Federal Jail in the City and what you were fed for and what other players were fed for..
For the letters: "SILENT", I tried "LISTEN", "TINSEL".. no cigar.. There's only so few anagrams one can spell with those letters.. Eventually I gave up..
