I lost 184lbs with charm helping me with my fitness! You too could get your fat ass in shape!
Bumped :)
Go calc!
I am looking for a few good active employees for my new TV station... I am paying best wages in torn to try and rank as quickly as possible. I won't BS you and act like I don't need YOU or that being in a 0*company doesn't suck... I understand you're really helping me out by becoming an employee and with that being said, I will not forget about all the help you have provided me.
Pay will be between 2m-2.5m depending on how high your intelligence is and your secondary stats are. Please mail me, chat me if I'm online, or simply apply! Thanks a lot for your time!

So how cool would it be if there were a variety of different bombs a faction could make and use against other factions? The Dirty Bomb is great, don't get me wrong, but it's hard for many players to really enjoy what they offer the game due to their cost. Since factions "war" one another the idea of bombing a faction is very unique and could lead to some interesting concepts if done right.
Effects of Bomb
The effect of the new bombs can go in almost any direction you can imagine. There could be bombs that simply take away respect, just give radiation poisoning, or just stop the enemy from flying. That's just breaking down the Dirty Bomb effects into smaller bombs which is cool, but why stop there?
We could have bombs that reduce the targeted faction's speed/strength/defense/dexterity by 50%. We could have bombs that automatically set a smoke grenade against targeted faction's players when any attack is initiated against them. We could have bombs that shut down the targeted faction's armor. Bombs that shut down melee weapons. Bombs that shut off medical item usage... The list goes on and on. All of these effects would be temporary of course... There are many different effects we could use, but the above are just a few I've thought of off the top of my head.
Making a Bomb
To make a Dirty Bomb you need 100x cesium, lab for faction, and hazmat suit, which is in turn a hefty amount of money. For these new bombs I think we should range the materials from Uber expensive like the DB to relatively easy/cheap to acquire so that more people can play with bombs.
New items can be introduced for the different building materials. Maybe make some only obtainable through missions, some bought abroad, some found in the city, some mugged from NPCs etc. This will create the price range for the bombs where the less effective ones are cheaper and the more effective expensive.
New Bombs Help TORN
This will not only make a new mechanic for warring, but will also help pull some money out of circulation as the bombs will be disposable one time use items. This helps the economics of TORN as well as creating a fun new aspect to warring.
Intensity of Bombs
Another idea I had was to later create a faction upgrade branch for Bombing where factions can specialize in bombs. The upgrades can range from how long it takes to make the bombs, length of effectiveness for the bombs (instead of a bomb effect lasting 5hrs it lasts 7hrs), or intensity of the bomb's effect (instead of reducing the targeted faction's speed by 30% it instead reduces it by 35%)
This can be something very subtle that's applied to game/war mechanics or could be taken even deeper if people seem to like the idea. If you like it give it a thumbs up, if not then thumbs down. Was just a thought :)

Seriously a sick tower defense game... Should give it a shot when you're bored
Anybody play Realm Defense, the tower defense game? I started playing a couple months ago and I've really gotten into it and would like to have some others to discuss the game with :)

If a 14 man TV costs you 15b and generates you 60m daily you would think an upgrade which costs nearly 1/3 of your entire investment into the TV would increase your income by 1/3... before the update it didn't really pan out like that at all. Not saying it's exactly proportionate now, but I think that's what they're aiming for.
I'm not staff or a developer, but from my personal experience and observations I feel that's what they're going for
Nice idea I'd like to see something happen with this as well
Just a thought but anyone else think that bazaars kind of took away from trading A LOT? I used to have a group of friends I saved and traded with as a team and we rotated a player to a job with no item market fee as our salesman. The tax on selling stuff helped take money out of circulation and also gave meaning to job perks that helped with trading like no item market fee... Maybe bazaars should have a 1.5% listing fee or something without having a job perk?? I know this is off topic but just a thought
I believe IBF is correct on this, but I think I understand what you're getting at.
The site we play at, www.torn.com should offer this instead of forcing players to use an outside source to track and follow players. Would very much so simplify the whole third party issue, and could be set up where a player had to "turn on" the feature in order to use it (this would prevent players who are more casual play style from absorbing more attention than necessary from the site)
As the top tier of more serious players creates the majority of the regular activity on Torn, it would be nice to see an update geared towards making their play style much easier and functional. Most serious players use IBF's site, TornStats, because of all of the amazing features it allows us to use. Would be really cool to see Torn absorb TornStats abilities into a faction driven set of functions. Thumbs up Roachie
They've been in order for all that I've seen for PA fails but I haven't checked logs to be 100%. Haven't ever noticed it being abnormal though. I agree with CJ though, probably 3 and 4 were close and 4 overtook 3rd
Miss you Ms Rosie!! How have the children been? Thank you for helping me out. Thought I mailed you this question already but just looked and I never did
Yes it's about knowing the state of a few and the relative state of the others you run them with. Takes a lot to master, but doesn't everything worth doing?
LoL Rosie and I had a fuss with one another when Ghosty quit, but it was all stress based. We've apologized to one another and actually keep up every so often still :) She's my number one CE squeeze ;) love you Rosie!!!
Still looking for help with the abnormal ranking OCs... Please help me! I'm currently helpless! :O
Ah clean success is the abnormal one, you're right. That's what I meant lol trying to hurry on break at work. Thank you
If you're not familiar with CE(crime experience) ranking etc, most OCs rank in order from highest CE to lowest CE by the order the names appear in the result of the OC. Some OCs rank abnormally though and don't go from highest CE to lowest CE. Political Assassination OC successful without any player's being jailed ranks out of order in the order of 4, 2, 1, 3. I'm sure of this one being abnormal, and I know there are others, but I can't remember which ones they are.
Can someone more knowledgeable on the subject please list these for me? I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

What about a rotational system? Do it where every faction fights every faction. Weak or strong you get what you get. That forces factions to war and at least gets activity going in the right direction... We can create some sort of reward for winning each time etc.
I feel like the idea of wagering respect wouldn't be bad either. Perhaps use some sort of stat ratio where if a faction with 100b total stats beats a faction with 300b total stats they gain more or something.
There are plenty of idiots to go around, but there are also more than enough intelligent ppl to actually discuss our issues and work out a system that works or is workable to perfect
Couldn't we run a faction draft of some sort to even things out? Elect X " captains", and then let them pick their teams. You can't see a player's battle stats, but most players know how to give a rough estimate by looking at player's stats or spying stats if needed.
Obviously this needs a lot of tweaking to perfect it, but it can be done. We need to create a system to even the playing field amongst the ranks of factions to increase competition before we have a holocaust of Torn citizens moving on. The mid to newer players are the future of Torn. Lots of intelligent ppl here, so I'm sure we could make it work
Best of luck Calculated:) Glad you're still calc
