So, I started my own company (a candle shop), and it's now over 30 dsys old, and I have not gotten 1 customer in yet.
I know that the company aspect of torn is going to be changing soon, and I was wondering if there was a hold on new companies getting customers until the next update? Or could it be that there is an ad war going on with the highest ranked candle shops?
If not, do I just need to run a small ad campaign for a week to try and get customers in? I know I'll be running at a loss initially, but I hope that I can get above 1 star eventually...
Just wondering if I missed a step in starting the company.
So, I've been in torn for several years, just content to keep a medical job and stuff, but recently, I decided to start my own company, for something different. So, I now have a spiffy new Candle Shop.
My question is this. I have no employees yet (no one has applied), so does it make any sense to set an advertising budget? I would think that if you have to have employees before customers will start coming, the system wouldn't let you set an advertising budget.
I'm just curious how the customer thing works, and at what point it will be important to set and maintain an advertising budget.
Just started a new candle company, and am hiring for all positions. Starting salary is negotiable, and the better your performance, the bigger your raise can be.
