As I attempted to explain to these people, Kata will only be kicked because of Kata, not because some people want to play social media discord drama name shame bounty barrage super revenge simulator.  im not 12, I don't care about whatever personal life drama they are attempting to drag into torn.

also if you are going to attempt to bring people's rl spouses into Torn as a reason to be judgmental, you should probably take a long look at yourself first.  just saying.

As I told Hilde, I almost quit torn a while ago.  if not for the excitement that the young players bring into my faction with their desire to grow and learn I would simply quit playing.  too many games out there for me to stay in a game that isn't fun.

If Hilde manages to make Torn no fun for these players and they choose to leave or if the game becomes not fun for me, I will give Kata this damn faction, all of its contents, all the cash I have just to ensure she always has a home and a place for those who wish to be at her side just to spite the childish antics of a few who think they have the right to cast judgment over others.

Im not Vulpes.  I don't care about Torn enough for you to hurt me.  Im not invested enough, I promise.  Don't believe me?  I suggest you ask around.  There is a reason my NW has taken a nose dive since I bought this faction.  I simply don't care.



EDIT:  I have asked Kata since she has been here to not antagonize WiB.  If WiB wants to be left alone, then leave her alone.  period.  Kata and a friend apparently took a shot at her in global.  I wasn't happy.  I dealt with it.  If it continues then Kata's actions will be evaluated at that time.

However since WiB seems to want attention now, im taking that restriction off of Kata until such time this can be resolved. 

about a month ago i ran through the Dunwich campaign with Zoey and Winnifred. they went insane on Sentinel Hill. ill likely run through it next time with Agness and Daisy.

In Too Deep, Tidal Blades, and Champions of Midgard are good 3+ player games imo. all are some of my favorites at those player counts. fairly inexpensive as well considering how the hobby is.

we have 2nd edition. UoA looks fantastic though. passed on it myself, as well as Marvel, White Death, and DCeased.

ive been playing Voidfall a lot lately. its really is Mindclash's best game imo and i have them all. excellent solo. in fact not sure id want to ever teach someone the game.

also Deliverance, City of the Great Machine, and Scarface 1920 are some other epic titles of this year.

for people who like solo games but prefer quicker games with a lighter rule set, 20 Strong has been a very pleasant surprise. also a great travel/lunch break game. all the components are dice and pvc cards so damage isnt a concern.

this is a result of people advocating for felons. i 100% disagree with these laws and statute changes.

1st a felon has a right to go to court and have their rights restored if they can prove a good enough history and change of lifestyle.

2nd it creeps into things that have 0 to do with felons and can adversely affect society as a whole, as you have pointed out.

also, it may prevent a sheriff from doing so, but it doesnt prevent the FBI from doing so. all firearm purchases are sent to their database for approval. any, and i do mean any, red flag will at the very least trigger a delay. people seriously underestimate what lengths are gone through to approve a firearm purchase legally.

ive mentioned before, much to the dislike of many pro gun advocates, that i find it odd that my hand gun permit is eternal or that no permit or registration for long guns is necessary.

many things happen in life, such as you outlined here, that can impact a person's ability to own and operate a firearm responsibly. especially in the cases of permit required weapons i find it strange that a regular evaluation isnt done. even a simple refresher 10 question form and signature every 5 years is better than nothing.

however, that isnt the same as suggesting that people shouldnt own weapon A or B because some uptight dimwit decided what is needed and what isnt. they are totally separate issues but are far too often painted with the same broad brush from uneducated and inexperienced morons.

though in your case it seems red flag laws would cover that. a simple phone call would likely solve the issue, at least temporarily. i personally am not a fan of red flag laws because of how they are done. if it took a court case to take the weapon first instead of a court case to prove innocence then id be more apt to support them.

My kids have been through basic gun awareness and training by a paid professional through a state sponsored organization. I also own firearms to protect them from pretentious twats or those with ill intent. I have a gun safe. I have trigger locks. I use spacial awareness when out in public and I'm licensed to carry and train regularly as I take the responsibility seriously

So you can take a seat with your nonsense. When a government wants to disarm you you should take that as a warning. Especially during a time where we are making tyrannical claims daily

this is a problem, one ive mentioned many many times. one that wont be solved because we are blaming racism instead of shitty policies that affect everyone, especially those from poor areas.

ive been told many times how white, male, and conservative i am and ive had this kind of thing happen 3x in my youth. once in a van as we were driving around, because they got a call about a gun. once in the back of a pickup (back when we were free enough to do that) because we "matched a description". and once at a house party because they got a call from a neighbor who reported "armed men entering the residence". im willing to bet all were bullshit, or at least 2, and they just wanted to f**k with some young people and try and find a case to put on someone.

report the incident later and take any and all legal actions you can take. not doing so gets you killed, or worse.

poor people, regardless of color, get f**ked with by the police. happens in white areas, black areas, brown areas, all areas. period. some areas have more gangs and more crime and that translates to more police, which stands to reason this kind of shit happens more in those areas. there are people in almost every poor area that consistently get harassed by the police. stop and frisk is designed to promote that kind of behavior. profiling of any kind, racial or otherwise, is designed to promote that kind of interaction, and that is where the problem lies.

shitty politicians and leaders passing and supporting policies that not only allow but promote this kind of thing. then get on a stage talking about how hard they will work to stop it but never address or even speak of the reason these things happen in the first place. you think they want to stop the legal extortion they've passed to turn a profit on victimless crimes simply because some poor people sometimes die? you think they want to stop civil forfeiture they've passed to seize assets on victimless crimes simply because some poor people sometimes get killed?
