Today, January 19 2026 my Oncologist officially declared me in remission.
This is the final update.

I often referred to my cancer journey as my Mount Everest. The Climb up the Mountain was going through chemo. Navigating the summit was the surgery. The slow descent back down the mountain was the radiation. The wait at Base Camp was waiting to hear the end results of the journey. Returning home is hearing the words "No Evidence of Disease." That means "Remission."

Thank to everyone who reached out to me. Your support and warm wishes have been very warm and uplifting. The Torn Community is one filled with so many who have shared journeys in one form or another and this experience has given me the chance to meet so many of you.
It's been a pleasure to have the chance to chat with so very many different people from various parts of the world because cancer doesn't care where we are or where we come from. It hits us all the same. It's scary and so is the treatment for it.
For those who fail to understand why someone would share something like this with the Torn Community? It's because of how scary cancer is. It makes you feel alone even though you have your close family and friends you still feel alone. YOU are the one with it, not them. So when you beat it? It's a victory that is unrivaled. It's an emotion packed win filled with tears that has your gut wrenching because you walked the journey in shock and numbness letting the dr's lead you through each step of the way.
Initially, I only told those closest to me in Torn until the October Pink Races. I was asked to update. Rather than try to remember who wanted an update, I made this post. If that offended you or upset you, I'm sorry. But it was my journey.
I was active daily and until cancer dominated my time, I could be found here in Torn. During cancer, I was relatively absent. Those closest to me in Torn took note of that absence not knowing what was happening to me. Well now most of Torn knows I survived and that is fine. I'm not so scared now.

Hey Torn,
Back in February this year, I was diagnosed with cancer. I began chemo treatment in March, and after months of fighting through side effects, setbacks, and what felt like endless needles, I finally got to ring that bell on August 27.
It hasn’t been an easy road. I went through 12 weeks of the harshest chemo, followed by another 12 weeks of what they call “chemo lite.” Those last five sessions were the toughest I’ve ever had to endure — every round seemed to push the finish line a little further away as my white cell counts and bone marrow struggled to recover.
Today, I’m waiting to hear if my oncologist will clear me for surgery to remove the tumor. If all goes well, the next step of this journey begins soon.
A while back, after the spring JLT races, I reached out to see if we could hold a special Pink Race this October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month — not just for me, but for all the women here in Torn who have fought (or are fighting) their own battles with breast cancer.

PS. As you know, Early detection is crucial towards increasing survivability. I was lucky. We caught it early. While it was caught early, the down side for me was that it is a very aggressive type that is referred to being a triple negative. Which is why the lengthy Chemo treatment before surgical removal and will be followed by radiation treatments. To update you all, My surgery has been scheduled and it will be October 17th. A truly auspicious day as that is also my birthday.
Knowing that early detection can save you or your loved one, bear this in mind, 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed in their lifetime with Breast Cancer. That is a lot of women. And the ages of these women are increasingly becoming younger and younger.
Not every lump or bump is cancer. But it should be checked by a professional.

I want to apologize to everyone if I keep dropping into the void, I still get overwhelmed with dr's appointments and will still be present for these races. That's a given. My Oct is far more open than september is. Because I had a flare up of symptoms, my oncology team have been putting me through tests to rule out any occurance of a cancer spread. So far so good just another round of tests.

Race entry ends Oct 9th. The 10th of October will be a time for everyone to get their cars ready. Multiple races will be posted from October 11th thru October 16th. Finals race on October 17th.
Hello Race Fans. I'm back. Did you miss me? Do to overwhelming requests since last years October Pink Races turned a few races into a month long event I've been asked to host it again this year. It's all in an effort to raise awareness for Breast Cancer awareness Month which is October.
As many of you know, I'm a survivor of it. I shared my journey with you all during 2025's october pink race. And many of you shared your journey with me.
It's something that hits 1 in 7 women. Chances are someone you know has been affected by it or will be. And alarmingly it's something hitting younger and younger women.
This year though the races will be kept to one week. October 10-17th, with multiple races taking place each day.

Hello Ladies and gentlemen. Announcing that yes I will be hosting the PINK RACES in October for breast cancer awareness month. This is a call for race stewards to help hold the races and help organize.
Starting early because this event last year turned into something HUGE! I want to be better able to host an event like that again. The number of stewards needed will be determined by the level of interest this year vs the fast throw together of last year.
Last year I had wanted to have a fun race that blew up into a weeklong event that had to be improvised along the way.
This year, I hope to have something a bit more organized.

Yes. I almost quit a couple times. The first time I did quit for about 6-9 mos. That was because I underwent spinal surgery and needed the time to myself to recover from it. I got pulled back in because I was messaged about some "drama" that was occurring within Torn that led to a huge war. It was historic and worth the drop back into the game.
The 2nd time, I almost quit from going bankrupt and having to sell off my company. I was mad. Actually beyond MAD. Started selling everything off in a $1 sale that spanned a few months leading up into christmas a few years back.
Two good friends in the game talked me out of it as I was composing my Goodbye!
HUGE red flag for all of those who beg money or items and even after you say NO, they keep coming back for more NO's. Complimenting me is not gonna help your case. I've directed enough of them to the guides and tutorials on how to get money in torn but it's almost harassment the way some keep pestering me to "GIVE" them digi dollars or torn items for what?
They have a gambling problem and never pay it back or forward. I get it that they aren't breaking rules in begging it but let's be real here. NO means NO. Stop asking.
