It is sad that the "community manager" has to resort to removing anything critical of him personally- and spends half his time raging at trolls in GD. Look at his post history. It's sad. He even just graved a 9 page thread engaged in active debate because "rhcp smoothbrain posts" (actual reason posted in the thread by bogie).
But I honestly didn't expect him to lie and tell people that I have ever been warned for homophobic slurs- that is a straight up lie. I have never used any slur on this forum nor said anything homophobic. But I guess this is the kind of behavior I should expect from a "community manager" who spends most of his time on here raging at people for opposing his random censorship.

Then he’d be shutting down people on your side and promoting what you view as immoral. Free speech is morally neutral and fair to all people who want to share opinions.
“The paradox of tolerance” is the concept that you need to use authoritarian tactics against people you don’t like so that you can impose your ideology on society. It’s basically another term for fascism.
Speech is speech, and authoritarian tactics are authoritarian tactics. If you support censorship, you support authoritarian tactics and you can’t pretend that you believe in free speech.
Just because an opinion is bad, or a "character flaw", or "requires self reflection" doesn't make it any less of an opinion. You just think its a horrible/immoral opinion. The concept of free speech includes, obviously, things that any given person will either agree or disagree with (or thinks are immoral/horrible/etc.).
The concept is important because, without it, you're just letting SOMEONE (torn staff/discord/google/zuckerberg/various governments/etc.) be the arbiter of that speech. What if Torn was sold to a Christian evangelical who opposed gay rights and moderated the forums as such? Then you'd be free speech warriors, I'm sure. You may like bogie and the current staff's opinions on various matters, but do you really want to be at the whims of internet mods to determine of what kind of speech is allowed or not? Free speech allows for a common standard regardless of who owns or moderates a given platform.
