- Players in 2015, 2018 and 2019 threads state as common knowledge that renters cannot use a rented property's vault. A 2014 suggestion asked for tenant access and was a request, not a change. (player reports; Rented Vault, )

- PIs are rented out by players; listing is done by forum ad and mail negotiation of length and price. Owners such as an officer in 2020 advertised fully upgraded PIs for rent, and a 2026 seller noted a PI was under rental until a set date, so a rented PI can later be sold.
