I'm of the opinion myself that drug pack pay outs are probably based in some way on the amount of vico and xanax currently in circulation or at the very least which is being used the most at any given time

That sounds far too unnecessarily complex, I imagine it's just set as a straight 50% chance for either one. No point in coding anything else really... It doesn't add any cash to the game and in a sense only takes money OUT of the game by encouraging people to buy and keep cash locked in SYM stock benefits.

Agreed bogie, the extra work to code in a set of rules that had to rely on constant data base updates to determine what was opened in a drug pack by anyone at any set time would be a nightmare and extremely over complicated for what it is.

Why does it sound too complex? it would be pretty much the same maths as the maths that apparently drives stock performance. Either way I doubt it's a straight 50/50 chance

It may not be 50/50, it could easily be any ratio that Ched could tinker with. That would be much easier to code than referring back to the database for current drug usage and/or numbers in circulation. I seem to recall the drug usage numbers against profiles came in after this stock benefit as well. It seems less likely that Ched would re-code something which isn't quite as important as the stock performance you mention.

Ultimately I have no way of knowing without an invitation from Ched to review the code, but personally I wouldn't spend so much coding time on an item which appears to have such a minimal effect on gameplay.

I had 6 in a row all vic's - last 2 after that were both Xanax. Honestly I would say 50/50 because I had a good xanax run for a while.

Basically the more broke you are and NEED it to be Xanax the higher chances you will be Vics is what I have found!
CatHead [1581564]

This wouldn't be a thread if you'd found 15 xanax in a row... People tend to remember negative more than positive. I think 50/50 sounds alright.

The odds MIGHT have something to do with ratio to Xanax outcomes. Your just unlucky mate.
Random is a figment of your imagination. Its all variables.
