Support that I own a property with vault and yet i don't live there. Can i still put my money in that vault??
Butters [34298]

No - you have to be living in the property to use the vault. You also have to withdraw any funds you have in the vault before moving out of a property that has one.

guess that would be one suggestion to benefit those buying and holding onto multiple PI's

Buy 10 PI's and get 10 vaults that you could hold 500m in....

There's an option in property tab and an icon in your icon bar. You need to own the property to use it though. Can't use vault of rented properties.

If i lease my property with money in my vault, is it safe for the period its being rented? As in, will it still be there when the renter moves out?

Read Butter's post, the very first answer. If you want to move out, you need to take your money out first. And you can't rent it out while living there..
Also, nice necro..

This has changed now. You can now store cash in a vault and move out of that property. The cash will remain in the vault and to get it back out all you have to do is move back in before clicking the vault icon.

Yup, I've tested it too :D

Also I think it was in the announcements one time. Can't remember which one but I do remember it being said somewhere.

So buy as many vaults as you can and store as much as you please :D

It's not very practical though if you own or hold the lease to the property you actually live in, as you can't fire staff until they have been employed for a day. You also have to kick out your spouse if they are living in that property. But if you live in your spouse's property it is definitely doable.

Pretty sure you don't have to kick your spouse out. You can if you want to, but your spouse should still be able to live in the PI even if you move out.

So the answer to the second part of this question is: the tenant will NOT steal the money out of the vault. Maybe the vault is sectioned for the owner and tenant??????
