I'd suggest points, they're very liquid so easy to buy and sell and prices are pretty stable, I've still got loads of points because they're what I used before we had Caymans and haven't sold them off
Like cesare mentioned you can store them in points, you can also start up a trade with someone you know, and put your money in there, and take it out when you need it, aka a ghost trade.
how do you buy, say... 3 points?
Make your way to the City page, there you'll see Points Market. Just click that and you'll see points listed for sale and you buy them there. Usually around the 52,000 - 54,000 figure. Stick with what your doing 'cause if you're making money then you're doing all the right things!
You can chat with someone who's selling points and ask them to put up 3 points, but it might be less of a hassle to buy something that is not quite as liquid but still easy to sell. Plushies for instance, and move on to points and xanax when you get more money.
Hand it off to someone you can trust like me that has a vault.
Hahah I'm just kidding. But you can trust me though.
