Its been a tough time for so many over the past few weeks, And will continue to be hard. I am putting this up for selfish reasons, I would just like to see the data on the poll. Hopefully others can see why i'm interested and maybe it will help more than me.

Now i use the term 'mental issues' lightly... Some of my mental issues include, An inability to not think about climate change and other societal problems... a strong belief that our species average intelligence is dangerously low and getting worse... and i always pick boring foods.. i know i could do with higher variety/more vitamins.... but i like to get out of shops fast... You know... its all tied together with bullshit in my head. 'Mental issues' in the vaguest sense of the words..

Last little thing to set the stage, 'Realist' I believe i am one (or close to) but only after you fix the flaw in the mainstream definition..

Now, in my mind, average intelligence (and below) is a mental issue... that said because of the superiority bias... many of those peoples mental issues will come out as them being confident they are above the line, Just one of many ways a mental issue can obscure itself... And so this poll is going to be far from accurate.. Take the results with a pinch of salt.

I personally plan to compare these results with data found elsewhere.. not in a comprehensive manor, I'm just looking to sate my own curiosity. Hopefully others have interest too.

Lastly, I am in no way suggesting that Torn produces any mental issues. If anything, my assumption would be that it lends itself to those with them. My second assumption, It either helps them or they quit. So yeah, loads of discussion material here. Not gonna lay down any specifics,

Here is my poll! Ty all!!

Hmmmm, wouldn't clicking number 1 suggest that they have no empathy? Personally, i think that claim is a serious stretch for anyone....The absolute belief that the self is free from mental issues..... oooof... if that aint a sign of mental issues.. i don't know what is...

There's a chance i'm just a three. Even that many mental issues could be enough to convince the self they are bigger than they are >_<

Ty for your openness, I'll pray you aren't burdened with more and just too tough to say higher than 3 >_<

For our first #8! I do not blame you. I'll do my best to help improve matters. The next generations deserve better.

(and subsequent #8s)

Based on the question, i'd guess you are also looking to further personal understandings on the matter. I have an elaborate theory on guilt that i think you might like :)

I agree, there are mental issues to make you believe that the issues you admit you have are not as serious as others may think, or one can think they are not serious and others consider to be very serious.

I think with myself, I have 1 problem and its small to me due to my profession, but the problem is being paranoid of protecting my family and my person. I have lived with it for so long that it is not considered to be a big problem for me, but the actions I take, my wife and others notice think that it is a bigger problem.

dude... if there is a chance of an issue. Being prepped and it not occurring is far better than not being prepped and it occurring... Provided you only prepare for likely occurrences... and when i say likely 0.001% chance is still very high....

You sir... sound sensible, not paranoid.

Took me a while to convince my parents to stockpile a few months of food... I did this several months back now. Now there is a scenario, where everyone went nuts panic shopping, all they had to do was send me an email saying ty >_<
