i just wish they would do a better job with the riots an control their anger. Stealing from stores around your city does nothing but hurt your own local economy...go after the damn police, they are the folks that f**ked up. Go burn up a police station, flip over patrol cars whatever yall like...just dont tear up local stores.

I would argue that rioting only hurts your cause, it doesn't help it. no better way to devalue your character than resorting to violence against innocent people. in fact, is that what all the fuss is about? needless excessive violence against the undeserving?

there are better, more productive, ways to demonstrate your anger. I don't see these kinds of things as a good way to entice people to join your cause.

that and it gives ammunition to those attempting to dismiss or diminish your movement.

i understand that, an i honestly dont support it...but i could understand if they went after the police. That wouldnt bother me much, but going after local stores really bothers me. I always hears folks just need a way out an nobody is willing to give black folks in poor areas a chance...or nobody wants to build in a poor black area...this is why that is so true.

I would have a problem if they went after the police as a whole. again, overreaction or negligence is how this all started.

people don't invest in poor areas, because they are poor areas. without a return on your investment, its not going to happen. plus there is generally less public services, poor infrastructure, and higher crime due to the overall effects of poverty. what you have done is demonstrate here the "ammunition" I referred to. these riots aren't why investments don't come to their area. these riots are what happens when you fail to give people adequate public services, functional infrastructure, more opportunities, and lower crime do to a failure at the leadership levels and then have those same authorities kill one of you, again.

the riots still serve no purpose and are counter productive, but I wont use them to excuse a failure of the state.

The autozone fire? Started by a cop.

You can stop clutching your pearls now. I saw the video.

I'm waiting anxiously for that to be fact checked because I hope I'm wrong and it was sent to me (by a white woman) that protested a few days ago in Minnesota.

Anyway, I invested in a poor area. A few of my friends have actually. Risky? Yes, but scared money makes none. There have to be more paths to giving opportunities to black youth besides a future in sports & entertainment (which we mastered already). They just need guidance. Plus a belief that they can succeed.

I let my 19 year old read most of these replies, yours included. Just another example of "see how they see you?"

Thanks.

should we all be in front of our state capitol buildings protesting peacefully while demonstrating our force in arms? perhaps.

in comparison to doing so because we cant go get a haircut this seems far more worthy of that kind of demonstration. this country did it recently over the loss of a few dollars. surely the needless loss of life at the hands of ill trained or ill intent "authorities" has to be higher on the justification scale.

They are protecting those scum(all 4 of them) that got away with murder. They are part of the problem. Should let the mob get a hold of these officers and tear them from limb to limb. We talking about the same issues for years and 100 years from now we will still be talking about it.

If Pookie killed Ray Ray he will get arrested on the spot 25 years to life
If Billy killed Hank he would get arrested on the spot and get 25 years to life.
These 4 officers killed a man and get fired from their jobs with no arrests made and this happen days ago.

The Injustice System is working the way its supposed to.

did you read my post correctly?

there has to be a disconnect here.

- these riots aren't why investments don't come to their area. these riots are what happens when you fail to give people adequate public services, functional infrastructure, more opportunities, and lower crime do to a failure at the leadership levels and then have those same authorities kill one of you, again.

the riots still serve no purpose and are counter productive, but I wont use them to excuse a failure of the state.

^^ you will have to explain how that invoked a "see how they see you?" response.

I didn't mean to imply that no one invests in poor areas. its just not done on a large scale, which hurts the overall economy and results in less opportunities and growth. in an area with a dilapidated infrastructure and poor public services such a small scale investment stream results in very little progress.

hope it works out for you though. supporting your community is definitely the best way to go.

I doubt this will happen. Most of my people would rather buy J's and instead of buying guns and learning tactical training(and when they do they rather shoot each up over dumb shit). Been complaining for decades of the same crap, doing the same thing and expecting a different result is stupid as hell. America is what it is and won't change.
