Enlisting This Week.

Smallish (15-20 members) Platinum III faction looking for a few hitters. Really laid back environment, but we take RW seriously, as we like to win and get paid. OC's and RW is 100% payout, and is usually 1.5-2m per hit, but has been as high as 3-4m and as low as 1m depending on speed of the war. Drugs, meds, weapons, etc.. also provided for RW, and drugs and help with training are always available. 

We’re on OC 2.0 level 1-6, and make a good bit of additional income from this. Lower level spawns pay a few million, the higher level OC’s now paying 5-20m depending on length of spawn.

No forced chaining, no stringent rules. We just expect that you train your best and put in reasonable effort. 

We're VERY good to our teammates, and always have each others back. I've come from a much larger faction family, and love being able to make a difference and be highly compensated for it. We also have a faction competition fund with payouts for winning faction races, RR tournaments, poker, etc… 

Take a look at our wars if you’d like to see the effort we put in, and even feel free to reach out to our previous opponents. Of course, compensation is based on your ability/activity, but it’s relatively easy to earn 100-300m per war with participation.

Wartime Perks include increased life, defense, dex, and outgoing hosp time. 

We have a ton of fun over here. Faction competitions, games, races, wartime meme-making, etc.. and theres always something ridiculous being discussed in group chat. I've learned more than I ever wanted to (fair warning). We've got members from all over the world, so theres always someone to chat with.

All that being said, we also understand that real life comes first. While we love to win and war as hard as anyone, nothing comes before real world obligations. Nothing is mandatory, chains, war, oc, etc.... but we do appreciate a heads up.

It looks like it was someone else who did it. 

I don’t know you. I don’t know if he did mug you, and I certainly understand being mad you were mugged. I mean this with ALL SINCERITY. You’re much better off taking your loss on this one, learning a relatively cheap (in the grand scheme) lesson to self hosp during big trades until you have someone you’ve traded with for enough time to build trust and rapport, and be careful.  I’ve never dealt with sh-sh, but they seem to have a relatively good reputation, and there’s no way to prove whether or not they had anything to do with the mug. 

BUT, continuing to post about it on their thread will not do you any favors. Even if you’re 100% in the right, it will turn public opinion against you, and could spell trouble during Halloween, add more bounties, etc.. (looks like a thread bystander already has bountied you). You run a faction and owe it to your members to say your piece and let it go. 

I wish you all the best. Eventually you’ll forget this even happened, and only you have the power to make it part of the past. 

Brotha, he shared his logs and whatnot. It LOOKS like he didn’t do it. Of course there’s always discord, but it’s really bad publicity for someone who trades to mug customers. Whatever you were mugged for likely isn’t worth what it would cost a trusted trader if they were no longer trusted. 

I know it sucks. We’ve all been mugged. But take it as a lesson to self hosp when you’re going to be carrying lots of cash. 

Paying torn money for non-torn services is almost a word-for-word description of RMT, just with the terms reversed. Providing non-torn anything for torn money is RMT. 

My brother, lithium is not just a faction in torn or a source of energy for batteries.

I agree, but with every one of them, its only a matter of time until people get mad they've lost everything they own (and then some, in some cases) and begin to report them one by one. I can't pretend to know the recourse or punishment for those caught violating after the now hypothetical ban goes into place, but if its sever enough, the casinos will eventually stop.

Torn going to be a lot like fallout this Halloween if anyone actually drops the first bomb. 

I can’t get the info from torn.report, but I was making 3-400k+ per attempt  on hacking on the old system. I believe I said you can still make good money on crimes 2.0, I’ve just not personally found that I make as much cash on it. Items wise, if I wait for things to become relevant, I do ok selling them. 

As for scamming/hacking, I switched over the day arson was released. Got arson to 100, and have been doing a weird split just kind of jumping around. Just recently started cracking, but haven’t ’completed’ any of them yet. 

edit: took a look. With hacking in 1.0, I was doing about $1.4b a year. In my first year of crimes 2.0, I’ve done about $330m. As you’ve already seen, I’m not far into cracking yet, and haven’t gotten into scamming. Not really doing them for money, but I’ll have to look harder at those two. I didn’t shit on crimes 2.0, just gave my experience. If I had to do it again, I’d switch sooner.

I made the switch. Partially happy I did, and somewhat upset. 

Its certainly more engaging that crimes 1.0, and if you hold onto the items you get from it, you CAN make substantial amounts of money when said items become in demand after a new use is derived, but as far as cold hard cash goes? It's really hard to beat Hacking 1.0. 

Personally, I'm glad I swapped over, I guess. 

The benefits outweigh the detractions. 

I hope that somehow this ends up in the newspaper, and the person who submitted it gets a DP
