I know not everyone reads all the replies to every thread Evil-Duck posts so I thought I'd clear the air. I've been considering making my own thread for a while about this whole thing but I was almost hoping it'd just blow over. I've had enough of all of this so I'm finally making my own thread. I know at this point there's too many threads about this already and that most people might not even care but I just wanted to at least have the full verion of what happened out there. I'll try to save you all too much repeated information, anyone who's reading this thread has probably read the rest of them.
Here's my side of everything that happened:
At the start of compeition I clicked on a random team and ended up in revengers, no-one belevies it but my co-leader also randomed into the team. I noticed that there were very few forum threads at the time of joining and many people asking questions in chat. So I ended up jumping in with the kind of things I do in my own faction. Making threads that explain things and directing newer players towards them mainly to reduce us repeating ourselves and to increase the clarity of the answers given (since torn chat can be a bit hard to read sometimes).
I knew that I personally prefered discord as a means to comunicate and get notfication and knew that there may be a few others that felt the same. And if there was going to be a leadership team set up they might want a space to comunicate with eash other in a seperate channel. I've been running my own discord server for my faction, freinds and some others like traders or revivers. So it was really simple to set up quickly in a way I knew we would minimise non-revengers entering the discord and it would be a fun and well organised space. It took me all of ten minutes to set up. I went into the whole thing knowing I may need to transfer ownership of the server if I wasn't on the leadership team and they were concerned about my reading everything that was said.
We were going to wait a few days before voting for leaders to make sure the team was relatively full. There were some newer players that wanted a leadership team established faster though. We did have a thread for some nominations and discussion set up though. And I was quite honestly surprised to see a few people nominate me, including some older players. I had just stepped in to fill a gap I'd seen in the forums and organising I wasn't doing it to get attention I just knew it was stuff that had to get done.
And then Dude and ED and all the rest showed up. Without having done anything to help organise people, earn any form of respect or make any freinds they immediately declare themseleves in charge. Had we held a vote and had they gotten a majority I would have quitely stepped back, however there was no such vote. A few hours after joining there's posts in general discussion after several of us asking them not to post anything. At lot of the rest of the conflict is already in the forums. ED and Dude then bribed and threatened everyone, which in my opinion reflects a badly on them as so called leaders. They talked a lot and refused to actually answer any questions just telling us to wait.
The discord was nothing but arguing after ED, dude, karty and nova joined. Hours of them telling us why there were in charge and several people disagreing with them. Some people did eventually give up on disagreeing with them because it wasn't worth the time. Then ED made some comments like 'mavi pay up(send nudes)' and many people laughed and then when I said that I wasn't okay with comments like that they told me it was just a joke. I was told to move on but I wanted them to at least ackowledge that was what said was over the line, I wasn't even asking for an appolgy just ackowledgement of that. They just kept telling me to move on and it made me angrier and angrier.
Then something broke and I didn't feel safe or happy there anymore, so I transfered ownership of the server, blocked them and left. The person I transfered it to eventually also got frustrated and left until eventually I assume Dude and ED owned the server. Then some of that argument extended to the public forums. And apparently they see it as that they're allowed to post anything they want to but other members of the team aren't allowed to disagree with them publicly, or at all. I was attacked at least three times just for disagreeing with them in chat or not handing over a discord role. The attacks themeseleves weren't excessive but it was just more than counter productive.
After I left the discord I had some people in the team ask me what was going on, why I'd left, if I was opting out that kind of thing. And it almost shocked me that people that even noitced.
One thing that really annoyed me was 'Nova is the best leader, they've got over 12bil stats' and they repeat this fact A LOT and then later 'activity is more important than stats, in fact stats don't matter at all'. Lots of little comments where they change their mind about what's required in the compeition as it suits them best.
If they win, according to them it'll be all because of how they ran things. If they lose I know I'm one of the people they're going to try to blame for it all. I've been accused of being 'a rat' without being told exactly what they think I've done. The thing about this compeition is that you don't have real control like you would if you were running a faction. There's no way to really remove the beneifts of being in that team like access to armoury or removing them from the faction entirely. And yet they were saying that 'as a leadership team they would discuss the evidence and decide on a punishment', the only things they could do to me would be to bounty me and that kind of thing. There's no real authority in that. Especially in an elimination leaders are only really there to help out younger players, organise any supplies and potentially form alliances. There are still 1,000 people in a team though, it's hard to organise that many people.
I opted out of the team not even 10 minutes into the warm-up phase. I made the choice to opt out days before warm up started. Dealing with Evil-Duck was not worth my sanity.
I know I have opted out and having people that aren't on your team in a discord server made for your elim team is not a good idea generally. But if ED and Dude really were stepping down I would have tried to actually organise the team, aside from making hits I could do everything else, running the discord, attempting to set up allainces however temporary and all the rest. I really did think about sticking around but the drama in the forums wasn't settling down it got worse, and Dude and ED continuned to well be themseleves I suppose I could summerise it like that.
TLDR: -As you already likely know ED and Dude forced their way into 'leadership'. -ED and his lot are lying about stepping down and turning it over to me as I'm not even in the team anymore. -Even if they do turn leadership over to razzaonpc publicly it's mainly to try to lessen the heat on them. -The rest of the post is mostly the events that led up to me opting out.

The text I have been trying to add https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=999&t=16079773&b=1&a=8273 There are no tables involved keep getting 403 errors. I thiiiink it's related to font sizes? And how the old 'heading' formats worked but I did try to go through and change all the headings to be either size 24 or 32 and either I missed a heading or I don't know.
Trying to update old forum posts that I wrote and are not locked and I'm getting 403 with no extra information. I didn't find any similar issues anywhere? I'm wondering if it's there being old formatting stuff since it's an old post? I also thought it might be related to changing the thread title but it doesn't seem to matter if I do or don't change that part. I tried fixing the formatting before editing it and either I missed some old formatting or it's not what's causing it. I was able to make an edit where I only added one word but anything where I've merged old text (and likely has old formatting in it) seems to be causing issues? I'm just really confused because if it was the formatting I wish it would at least tell me that.
I remember reading someone having done the stats as it being nearly exactly 50 50 Xanax to vicodin. That said I feel like maybe this thread fits questions and answers more.
I honestly think that some people only open threads after seeing who posted it and the title, I think you just have more name-brand and maybe phrased it in a way that the torn forum community as a whole responded well to. Since you already have that platform you'd get more interaction I think even if some of that is just people trying to troll you. Plus I think the torn forums values engagement a lot so even if it's a 'repost' if it's doing really well mods are more likely to keep it there.
I think torn also encourages specific tones in response to things you're expected to either hate or love something, not be on the fence or have complicated opinions. I also find there's a lot of issues that are treated really poorly by the loudest on the platform anything approaching LGBT+ or disability is often met with a lot of negativity. I think there are areas where it feels like specific people's voices aren't heard because most of those active in the forums don't want to listen.
