I wasn't enjoying it much and thought "This must be another one of those furry communities like second life. Each to their own but it's not for me".
Then I had a message off D3vl along the lines of "I see from your stats that you're training well, but you could be doing better. Want to join our faction and I'll show you how to do it properly?".
Now I've always been a guy that once I join a faction in an online game I stick with it and don't leave unless I have a really good reason to, but I rolled the dice and decided to join Trinity.
Best decision I could have made. We had territory batltes, much bigger chains, eventually hit 50k. He pretty much coached us all in how to maximise our efficiency and it can't have been easy with so many low levels in the faction. People would from time to time message me and ask if I wanted to join their faction "To get away from D3vl". D3vl was thoroughly decent and helped loads of noobs like me learn the game. All he asked in return was some effort . Every post with someone leaving the faction in a huff calling D3vl out, was by some loser that didn't turn up for several events in a row without pre-warning. The public facing D3vl is very much not the guy we got inside the faction.
I think it's a bit of a cop out from Ched to say his ideas were rubbish and he derailed things. A lot of what he's said is wrong with the game has been said out of his frustration playing the game, and a lot of players feel this way. It comes across very Activision Blizzard to disregard his suggestions like that even if you don't like the guy.
Being recruited by D3vl is the very reason I've sunk so much time, money and energy into this game, and I personally am sorry to see him go. All the best outside the game D3v! I'm sure you'll put the same amount of effort into real life things and smash them too.
And let's be honest... it's not like he's the reason Crimes 2.0 took so f***ing long, is it?
Basically add things so we're no longer reliant on Discord - it's a pain in the ass having to open a separate 3rd party app to participate effectively, especially on mobile.
Got you covered:

As a buyer, this service was excellent.
I'd seen the mails come through a few times and wasn't sure, but seeing is believing. Finally got a bunch of merits and honours I'd gone without for years. Super quick delivery too.
At what odds, I'm interested 😂.
That aside, well done NLA. You were annoying as hell to fight against, which is pretty high praise for RW!
Edit: 21:00:41 - 17/08/26 Someone anonymously sent $1 to you with the message: Get slapped shitter don’t need your comments
That's insane! I hope you give KBomb one of the Stat Enhancers after seeing that!
You have the lowest ID I've ever seen excluding Cheddy B and NPC's!
Fair play to you for your committment to level holding.
I'm not and I wouldn't class you as one either. There are many players who have an extra 10 years on us both!

Sorry, I stepped away. I saw a thread in General Chat where an irate newbie was spending real money on Donator Packs in order to bounty someone that mugged him.
It's a total waste of money. As is spending any in game money on Bounties currently.
If you put a bounty on me for 1m, I ask a faction mate to claim it and someone trying to up their revive skill will immediately show up to get me out of hospital. There's no value whatsover in Bounties except to turtle up in RW's when you have revives turned off, when a RW player logs back in, they turn revives on, get revived immediately and then can turn revives off again before getting their hits in.
If Bountied players couldn't be revived, they'd have to waste med cooldown getting out, and it would make being bountied a bit more impactful.
The three benefits are:
- We might see fewer people being dickheads because there'd be a fear of being bountied.
- Placing a bounty would be more worthwhile, as it would annoy a player more if they had to use med cooldown to get back on their feet.
- It would change the way RW's are fought. If you bounty your teammates you're impacting their med cooldown and ability to fight!
Revives shouldn't work on people that have been hospitalised if a bounty has been claimed.
The user should be able to med out, but it shouldn't be possible to revive them even if they have revives turned on.
Edit:
Why do I think it's a good idea?

15x highest stat is crazy good salary!
Come join us!
I've had some southern comfort and didn't see the r in your name. Was genuinely shocked until I realised!
I wasn't even nominated for Steviant of the year. I'm done with these awards until I win one.
Brave call from Sedition!
Bump!
Damn, nice work.
I'm pretty sure the fact that they can use real money to convert to virtual currency and gamble in game means that Torn has to get a gambling licence to operate in the UK. Even though there's no way to cash out to real money.
