Over the past few days, I have started deviating from the path to SSL. I've been using xanax for chaining and extra energy for training. No longer shall I think that the harder path has to be better. My eyes have been forcefully opened. I've read many forum threads that so much as mention SSL with the hopes of finding some overwhelming advantage to it that would explain why people find it worthwhile to unlock SSL in exchange for disregarding the benefit of xanax. The part that I don't understand is why is the harder path the less beneficial route to take? As i sit here writing this thread, the answer has revealed itself to me. It's a case of art imitating life. Drugs make life easier. It is as simple as that. I would know, I've done more than my share. When I started writing this, it was going to be a bit of a rant about how ridiculous the status quo is (from the standpoint of a gamer whose experience has trained them that harder=better) and how stupid I was for not taking drugs sooner. That latter part is still true. Well, it's been fun talking to myself about this. Thought that I was doomed to have this perpetual sensation of needing some kind of closure or resolvement. I suppose us druggies will say anything to convince ourselves that not only is what we're doing not that harmful, it might actually be beneficial to us.
Sorry to hear that this happened. Especially when you consider the fact that those affected have had no choice but carry on with diminished item spawn rates because of the loss of their ornaments. They may get their ornaments back, but they won't be able to recover the time they needed them for. That is, unless, Christmas Town gets yet another extension. Maybe the devs could compensate the affected citizens?

Can't remember when I did my very first drug crime, but I will remember the last. I do remember when I started doing them, the penalty for getting caught was a much bigger chunk of my crime xp than it is nowadays. I went in to it believing that my NNB would drop like a lead balloon. After a couple of red results I would take a break by burning down some warehouses. At least I did for the first half. By the time I got about halfway done, Chedburn changed the way the crime xp penalty system worked. From then I just powered my way through. My NNB actually rose! So glad I decided to invest in some premium alcohol and points to refill my nerve bar. The past 16-18 months have been a great lesson to me. In Torn, patience is a great thing but anyway you can whittle time off of the clock goes a long way.

Can't confirm but our leadership asks those involved in OCs to be in the city when it is time for it to be initiated. They say that the odds of success fall as the OC goes uninitiated.

I did have standards and a caveat or two. For instance, worth had to be proved. If one were to do the bare minimum (logging in once a day, keep OCs waiting for no more than 18 hours, etc.) they would receive a DP in no more than 60 days. On the flip side, effort, selflessness, and a cooperative and willing attitude was greatly appreciated. The most reliable of faction members could get three packs in two months. Perhaps other benefits as well. These days I bless random, deserving faction mates.
Can cash be kept in many property vaults? I understand that would have to move in to the property with the desired vault, risking losing happiness if not done correctly.
Recruiting decent faction members can be hard. I used to bribe prospects with Donator Packs. I ended up handing over leadership and joined a larger faction. So much easier.
