While most people despise mugger's because they've at one time or another been victimized by one; I think its often underappreciated how much time, effort and precision (and sometimes just dumb luck) it takes to accumulate a significant amount of earnings.

Not to mention it might bring a little more spice and liveliness to the game. As I know more people than not who choose not to make mugging part of their game play, it could potentially drive merit hunters and other players who don't typically do it to try their hand at it. Rising conflict between players, factions and maybe even friends if they send someone money with the purpose of cheesing their mug stats to get a merit and that player would decide not to return it. Could open up a lot of new interesting scenarios.


As far as I know, the only honors for mugging (excluding church mouse which is being mugged) are Yoink (successfully mug someone who's just mugged someone else) & Blood Money (make $1m from a single mugging).

Now this opens up the opportunity to two different pathways for mugging honors, which I'd honestly be happy with one or the other.

1. Total money mugged. Personally I believe for a total, the awards should start pretty high. First merit being around $10m total, second being $100m total then $500m, $1b and ending at $5-10b seems reasonable since a lot of people will probably not achieve that for quite some time. Obviously these numbers can be altered, they were just chosen amounts to explain the process.

2. Largest mug. Might be a bit obsolete, I think total would be the most idealistic way to go. However for people always trying to beat their last high volume mug, there could be set awards for money earned from a single mug exceeding the $1m one that already exists. Maybe go from 10m-100m-1b-10b.


Since you already nerfed mugging for us, lets make mugging great again. Give us back a little something from all you took away ;)


Edit: Before anyone says "this could be manipulated" remember, there's already tons of merits out there that are like that. Loan a friend a pi with a yacht, loan a friend for Net Worth, loan a friend for collector honor, pay for sluts instead of natural defends/runaways. For x5 stat merit have a friend bloodbag down, unequipped unarmored and xanned, etc etc.


Part of why my suggestion was starting with higher earnings in muggings is because its gonna deter people from cheesing those merits and if they decide to, it comes at a very high risk if no collateral is provided and even if there is collateral provided, there's always a chance you could get setup or mugged by someone completely out of the loop on a whim and get royally f**ked over. I could personally count on 1 hand the amount of people in this game I'd trust to let mug me for 1b+ worth to manipulate a merit and return it.

i don't think it's really necessary for a suggestion. I don't think this was the intended outcome so more so a bug report. We all agree it's bad, so hopefully they fix it

I only have TR ammo atm. Pringles is def, not dex. I can beat him with my Arma and epi. It's a toss up since we both have EOD now though, he'll usually come out on top.
