I myself sometimes gets depressed and coming to Torn is a place were I can take my mind of daily life. So I'm always up for a conversation and a joke.
This is all just my suggestion so any high ranking players out there, I'm saying my opinion.
You will obviously be straight away doing missions but I would say to keep it up at the beginning, just do as many missions as possible till you finish them. You will need to wait a while before you get more missions but that's perfect, gives you a little time to explore.
Everyone who is new thinks ahhh Company, that's what I want to join! Me included. But again just my suggestion but I would say to stick as the basic job in a grocery shop or Army for a few weeks/month. Then get yourself into a company that will want you as much as you want them.
As for factions... Well picking the right one won't be overly hard as all leader want to help the members grow. Its really just a personal preference if you are happy to be in a close nit small faction and grow with them just like you are growing, or join a well established faction with 100 members and be apart of something big. It's all a personal choice.
The last thing would be cash, all new players want millions on first 3 hours of game play. Unless you happen to find stuff in the city just sitting around, chances are you won't see your first million for a few days/week. But you can speed this up by becoming a slut and selling your attacks to high ranking players for 250k-300k per loss. I havent as I stright away thought that it would lower my overall attack success rate. But who know. I sure don't but I suce as f**k won't be selling any losses. Lol

I will continue to attack every few hours for a few days on the chosen target. I dont charge much as i will be making xp from the attacks but i do charge a small price, nothing less than 500k.
For that 500k your problems will go away with what ever bully is annoying you.
