The TS100 is an exclusive racing tournament for the top 100 racers by racing skill. If you are invited, it is the Top Skill 100. If you are not invited, it is the Tough Shit 100. There are no qualifier events, no fees, no sign ups, no stewards, no groups or classes, no eliminations, and no noobs.
When TS100 will be August 8, 2022 through August 18, 2022. Races run near Midnight TCT, from Monday to Thursday for two weeks.
Who All top 100 racers as listed by skill in TornStats.com are personally invited. If someone is bumped off that list during the tournament, they lose their seat. Some of the top 100 racers are deceased or inactive. They earned their seat, and it is non-transferrable.
Format One passworded race per day, eight representative tracks, no car restrictions, 20 lap races with nearly all-day join times. Private invites will be sent with race password when each race is created.
Placing Cumulative placing from each race will determine the end ranking. Ties will be broken with cumulative track time. Wrecks earn last place, with a ghost time of last finisher plus 30 seconds. Any absentee earns last place plus 1, and track time of last finisher plus 60 seconds.
What a nice surprise this morning. I want to thank all of those who rallied to support and R+ the suggestion to push it through. Good on ya, Torn Racing Community.
Congratulations to all the winners! My Pit Crew is making banners. I'll get them to you shortly. (How did I get in there?) I'm glad that I included ChristmasBazaar & the_gunners2004 as test cases for if the names fit into the template.
Apologies to some for an earlier counting that neglected one race in the total. Thanks to ChristmasBazaar for checking my math.
Thank you to all the participants for their time, passion, and for each ty to me right back, and to all the others for putting up with my ignored invites. This event was so much fun. The dat- um - information from the races show skill and RNG in a unique snapshot.
Why did I make this event? It has been over two yearstime since Racing Skill has been public, tracked, and ranked. I didn't agree with this change, but I can see the bright side of it. What was formerly a hunch at a top-## ranking became public. These are my peers. After all the broad inclusive fairness of other tournaments, this one is just for us. There's room for both.
I hope to replan the TS100 next year in August-ish, even if I'm no longer qualified for it. TV + time is real, if you watch rankings over time. I will see you on the tracks. Unless you run those other tracks. Or you fly. Or you suck. Do what you do.
Extended Mags were recently removed from being able to equip to all shotguns. This is working ok and I cannot equip that to my Mag 7 anymore.
However, did you intend for this to also apply to the upgrade to Extended Mags, High Capacity Mags? I still have that mod equipped on my Mag 7.
To check into it, I switched to a new loadout, equipped the Mag 7, then attached HCM. Switching between loadouts does not remove it. From what I can tell, this appears intentional and stable.
I think this is easily reproducible, and a screenshot would only show it working as apparently intended.
Is that what devs intended with the removal of Extended Mags from shotguns, that its upgraded version still is allowed?
Question on voting for final track: who gets to vote? Everyone that has raced, or those that will be racing in it, or bettors, sponsors, next of kin, or just anyone who cares enough to send em down the dirt? Slightly facetious options presented, but I'll let you determine.

Rogue and the_gunners2004 tied in their cumulative places. Today, I totaled each of their run times, and Rogue was 3.95 seconds faster. Rogue is 6th, and the_gunners2004 is 7th.
Now that records are finalized, banners are being made for the top 10 racers.

Thank you drivers for participating! There are some outstanding runs, and constant jockeying throughout. Take the weekend off and go kill people or something. See you back on Monday.
Tracking is up after Race 2, with cumulative placing. Time was calculated for the 1st 4 ties, then I said f**k it. There will be less ties at the end, and I will calculate those out.
Also note that, per stated rules, absentees are placed last plus 1. So, if you weren't in race 1, you placed 59th. If you weren't in race 2, you placed 65th.
Race 3 is up, and invites are sent. TS100 continues! I'm looking forward to Friday to rehab.
My only comment is on the Mini Cooper S, new name Tidi Cooper S. I'd call it Tidi Copper 5. Further, Tini (tiny) = Mini (miniature) . Tini would be a simpler change for Mini brand name.
More generally, conversion to leetspeek could assist in some of the many letter-number combos in model numbers which were also mentioned earlier as potential trademark issues, both away from the original, but relatable to players. Example, Ferrari 458 -> Lolo AS8, ASB, A58, 4S8, or w/e works.
I'm more concerned for the changes in car images than changes in description text. That will come. Please don't make images cartoon-y. If you could at least keep the same color of the car's original appearance, that would help old farts adapt easier.
Challenge update: Where did I get this video footage from? Now increased to $7m. This should narrow it down considerably, and there is only one more hint left after this.
Challenge update: Where did I get this video footage from? Now increased to $2m.
The very simplest of hints to begin with: Clearly, this clip was cropped from its original source. Nothing but some track barriers were removed, above and below what was taken.
I have a small challenge for you. I will pay $1m to the first player (invited or not to this wider event), to tell me where did I get this video footage from? Any of the few personal confidants that I already told in advance are exempt from this challenge. If unanswered, the value will increase.
To digress on whole number listing, I believe it places people according to when they got that stat. I am very nearly 52, and ranked at the bottom on 51 as the 'oldest'. This is only observational conjecture, but it true could reveal the break in the system.
I'm looking forward to a good race event! There's been a lot of positive feedback, and we should have fun with large races to run.
Track choices and schedule will be worked out next week. It will cover the diverse tracks (and car builds) without running them all. There will be one Bugatti track.
In the two weeks before, and the two weeks during, some may bump up to fill out the top 100 with 48's. If three people reach 48, then those with 48 can be maybe-listed. Watching these ranks throughout a day, they fluctuate often.
To clarify, I'm sending PW's to the top 100 by skill at the same time that I begin the next race, which is either midnight or after the previous race has completed. It's a dynamic game.
