You have to be zoomed in all the way OR zoom out 1 time. Using the direction control arrows in the upper right corner move the map to the easiest corner for you to start a grid search. Left click anywhere below the Key of Symbols then move your cursor up past the Key of Symbols onto the Map.
The Key of Symbols will be highlighted in Blue and there will be a Blue box around the controls in the upper right corner. If you don't see a Blue Item box in that grid you will have to move to the next grid and repeat the process above again. Once you locate a grid with an Item ALL the Items on the map will have a Blue box around them then you can start a grid search using the directional arrows to move up and down from one side to the other side until you find all the Items on the map. . You can easily see all the Item Blue boxes on roof tops, roads, dark ares and all the colored buildings in the City. It would be best to save 1 item on the map so you don't have to search for an item the next time. The Items you find won't generate an event. If you want to you have to keep track of the items you find yourself.
Chances of finding something are slim and the chances of finding something rare even slimmer. The more awareness you have also increases your chances of finding items in the city. You can Increase Awareness by using 10 merits for full up awareness. You can join Psychology Education Modules PSY2680 : Attention and Awareness for a 10% increase in awareness when the Education course is complete. Working for Fireworks Stand or a Candle Shop has company specials that increase Awareness for each job point earned. Taking Drugs can increase your Awareness. I did not notice that the stock we're up for sale until the event notification that they sold. Thank you BraveKath I do believe that's exactly how it happens. I've owned that Benny block of stocks for a long time and I would not have intentionally sold them.
Nope still the same issue with my PC. Purchase window still window goes blank. I don't receive red message. Tried to add screen shot but this old fart not too tech savvy anymore. I am using windows 8

Every time I try to get into this bazaar there are so many items it takes forever it'll load. YES I see now. The deficit is the amount of cash I took from the faction. The surplus of points is what I added to the faction that I gave to other faction members It took a while for this old guy to catch on.!@#$%$#@!
