Well, we all thought it would happen, and it has.
This will be one of the more watched fights, not because anyone cares whether [empty shell] wins or [empty shell] wins, but because twenty people will be walking off with shared loot (in theory).
I'm not going to give my opinion in the OP because I suspect quite a few of you have plenty of thoughts to share on this topic. Here is the line-up:

If people want to do this and sacrifice tolerance then they should be able too.
Probably won't be as lucrative in a years time when the market is flush with war items.
It'll be 6 days in a shell faction before the war even starts, then getting to 2k points with 10 people a piece will be challenging depending on how they play it. They'll easily be looking at over 10 days without tolerance/steadfast. If the rewards are an even split through all 10 players in the faction then it's definitely not worth it.
Perhaps ranked wars should only be allowed for factions that are at least 1 year old to prevent this.
It's not going to be distributed, from the looks of it. I'm pulling the stats now... first glance looks like just a couple people getting the loot. Rest were probably paid.
If there is a way to exploit thing in this game, it will happen. I'd be shocked if Proxima and the player committee did not bring this exact scenario up to Ched and Bogie. Why they didn't do something t prevent it? Who knows.
My guess is, the loot is going to the top four on this list. You can certainly bet the bottom half won't be seeing anything.

The fact that this is going against the spirit of ranked warring (fighting with your team, not against parts of them) = bad.
The fact that this will eventually drive cache prices down = good.
I honestly don’t think caches are going to *crash*, it will more likely be a slow decline IMO as they are only added to circulation quite slowly. Even when the prices do fall I don’t think it will be too substantial, they will always be worth at least a couple hundred mil since the weapons and armour can be very good

Fyi. The loot is going to our faction. Upgrading armoury and many other things. (Everyone involved is happy with this)
The members involved will be given rewards out of OUR own pocket so.
We are more then prepared to get shitty loot. Lower points are needed = most likely less caches etc.

a few people are doing it insanely wrong and will be matched vs extremely strong mid-tier factions and get stomped for 1 cache though
Well.. Of course.
There will always be a way to get passed it. You buy a faction with full toleration, win or lose you've made half or broke even on the price of the faction. (Depending on how far down the line... IE War loot price drops)
A new feature was added and it has made billions for people in less than a day... We still don't know the loot for shell factions, it could be a complete waste of time or it could make a decent amount of money.

I dont personally agree with this because it defeats the object of ranked warring, but it was always bound to happen because nothing was put in place to prevent this from happening.

First of all: Everyone is a member of our faction, so no matter how much I'd like to do it, we're not just scamming random noobs or creating multiaccounts.
Secondly: I honestly don't really care much about the loot. I was just curious if Ched had implemented some sort of block to shit like this.
And then of course I've always wanted to bitchslap Simon until his teeth look British.
