While I'm still bellow 2 years, I had such a journey that I have enough people to thank👀 While most of them may not see this, I wanted to thank them somewhere.

Thanks to my faction leaders (lobdell and Nial). They accepted me, and after less than 6 months I was promoted to a banker role. I believe Torn community had enough stories about newbies getting banker, stealing everything and running away. Trusting that I wouldn't do that is enough to be thankful for.

Thanks to Crapple, my awesome spouse and the one that got me into this faction.Thx!

Armi and Casey, thanks as well, it's great working with you guys in the faction!

Without any of the 5 mentioned above, I'd probably still be selling losses to this day, if not leaving the game on day 37.

Thanks to Vinerri people (QWW, Elifez, Rosk, Cali, and others). You guys made Halloween 100x times better!!

CRyPTo and IBB group leaderships too, it's fun being part of these alliances. Most of you guys probably don't know I exist but yea, thanks!

Thanks to some people. Yes you RR gamblers, and u Dexterity whore (I'll hit you one day.)  All the others as well. It's so fun talking with all of ya in such a big group! :D

There are plenty of people to thank, but I wanted to thank the people that actually provided for "ME".

Like I'm thankful to the staff for the game, but what they provided was directed to the whole community, and not just myself.

Thanks :)

Abetting [2016807]

I'm thankful for my father, whose birthday is actually on Thanksgiving this year!

Growing up we didn't have a very good relationship because he was kind of a dick and I was very resentful and depressed. But as I grew up and went into the Navy myself I understood more about why he was the way he was and ultimately got over my resentment and we had a long talk a few years back during a cross country drive where he helped me move.

There were a lot of things he didn't know about me growing up, how I'd felt about him and how his anger affected me, he didn't know about things that had happened to me, and he didn't know that as much as I tried I didn't have any happy memories with him outside of being at our cabin the couple of times we had gone per year, I only had memories of being afraid and if him yelling or threatening to whip our asses etc. But i finally told him everything during our talk and it went quite well.

He was always and still is the smartest man I've ever known. He was a nuke on submarines in the Navy for 14 years and outside of being book smart he was able to do trades work as well, it really seemed like he knew how to do everything and still does. He was helping my little sister with her math homework well into my twenties when even I wouldn't have been able to help, he has advanced math equations engrained into his mind and it baffles me how smart he has always been and makes me feel kinda shitty that I'll never be that smart for my kids.

Regardless, I'm happy to say that our relationship is so much better than it ever was growing up, with most of my family, not just my dad, but I think I always wanted a better relationship with him deep down anyway compared to the rest of my family where it wasn't bad, I just wasn't a big family oriented person.

I'm glad I took the leap of faith and finally talked to him about all the shit I went through growing up and I'm thankful that he was understanding and listened instead of all the bad things I'd imagined would happen when I played it in my head over and over throughout the years.

Now I'm planning to live with both of my parents and some siblings on a 200 acre plot we obtained and basically start a family homestead. I've never been more excited for a venture and I'm very happy I'll get to spend more time with my family especially my father and we can build our house and catch up on a bunch of the dude stuff I wish we had done more of when I was younger.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

DedeSiregar [2430598]

age 0-9: wow my dad is a hero

age 10: my dad doesn't know shit

age 20: maybe my dad is correct

age 30: my dad is a hero

I saw meme saying this ^^

I would give my kidney to get a chance to talk to my dad for 1 hour again. Sometimes I sleep longer than usual because in my dreams he is still here.

Happy thanksgiving for your family

I am thankful that we still have to play a game 20 years later (13 for me) and its always gotten better (mostly).

I am also thankful that the latest round of bs happened as it might change the city scape. Everyone just sitting in one of 3 (maybe 4) teams being controlled basically by a dozen people (families my ass) doing what those people want because the game creator wants to keep making the game he started, and made successful, a certain way and they want it to be different.

If those people want a game to be a certain way then they can go take r/l money and make a game themselves, take decades to create a fan base, get thousands of people to play all day every day and then they can tell those people how to play. Fuk off and let us play like we used to, back when it was fun and you had beef with many factions for all sorts of reasons not just because the boss man said so.

BadZena [1968552]

I’m thankful for the great members past and present who have worked so hard to make the faction what it is today. Without the fantastic members we wouldn’t have grown from 3.1m respect to the 12.1m respect we have now, not to mention the donations which made it possible to have just completed our Dirty Bomb build.

I must mention MartineD, I’m so thankful for her assistance, work, and unwavering support along the past 5 to 6 years. Sadly Martines life has changed and she has left the game recently to concentrate on finding her way in life, I can only wish her all the best for the future.

UNT Rocks! Thank you UNT’ers!

Zoot [1759387]

I am very thankful this year for having some extremely caring and dedicated members within my faction. They have all stuck through my crazy, and I truly could not ask for more.

I'm especially thankful for Tentacles and Sentryfrog, without them our little home wouldn't be what it is. They both put in so much care and love, not to mention their immense knowledge of leading and mechanics of the game. Thank you two for being the best two people in my life.

A special shoutout would go to all the friends I've made this year. You guys keep me sane, in this crazy game you make plenty of enemies. The friends are why we stick around

KitsuneKinoko [3253661]

Thankful for Torn the one game that lured me out of my anxiety of making friends and made me make friends- My faction. We have fun and got each other backs.

Cenorestana456 [2895185]

Honestly, I'd love to thank DeDoNx for inviting me into MeD-EviL, for bringing an amazing community of people who share a common goal, even if half of Torn hates us.

Pellz [2263153]

I'm thankful to my real life buddy who invited me to this game, I actually didn't know much better then making me go afk for close to 3 years, but i got back on the track and started loving the game back with love and kindness shown to me by Desire, thanks for the trust and the confidence you have in me, I just can't express how grateful I am for everything, you've been Lovely a friend and i can't say how special it is to have you, thanks for giving me a family called Leeches too.

More appreciation to my best torn buddy Miwa, she is taking a break now and i hope she returns soon with every goals of her achieved in real life, also to PPrincess thanks for been a lovely friend during my stay at PT, reading novels together with you has been the best thing that happens to me in torn and I must say I still enjoy your novel and miss reading them.

Another one goes to Didicool86, thanks for helping me  out in every part of my torn life without you I doubt i will get up faster to anywhere my progress is today, you've been a lovely friend and i will cherish that till eternity.

And thanks to everyone who makes torn a fun place to be, I love y'all.

Padokill [93922]

19+ years in this game I'd like to thank Liborious who took over my faction for a bit in the early days when I needed a break.
And all the members that helped my 16+ year old faction grow.
Especially those that stuck around during the massive 39+ WW raids and those that returned shortly after you guys are awesome!
A special thanks to the co-leaders we've had Hollow and The_Law and all members that have taken up a council position over the years!
Finally thanks to those that worked with me to make some of the previous alliances I was in greater than they were before their input and efforts.

LoneWolfofNorth [3276048]

Sorry. But since I am from the North, I have to inform you that you are late to the party! I've already said my thanks ... but being from the North it is great that we get to be and give thanks twice a year. We also get about a week and two weekends of fireworks in July. I am very thankful for that. Sorry.

ReinBowJimmy [2976788]

I'm thankful to a few factions and people, so here goes:

Trigger Happy Devils - they gave me a home early on and helped me begin my journey into learning the game

Cheb - for hosting Torncon UK to allow people to get to know each other. I've made some good friends and got into my current faction from these events

TonyCream/Seshlehem - for taking me in and showing me the ways of ranked wars, helping me train and grow as a player and leadership. Making the game feel so much more exiteraling, engaging, and all round fun time.

RedRocketRev - A chance interaction and now DnD compatriot, he gave me a lot of supplies early on to kick-start my growth and then proceeded to help me grow my bank investment. He's not everyone's cup of tea, but he's been an amazing friend!

A_random_guy [1857022]

Greatest thing to ever happen to me in Torn was leaving a newb faction because of an internal dispute and being able to join that 16+ year old faction. The team and my growth since I joined have been amazing. Thanks to all our members and to Padokill and Law for putting in all the administrative work.

Also thanks to Torn in general for being a game I could play during the toddler years of my kids. ❤️

pogtatoes12 [3369779]

thanks to lodged, who showed me this strange little text game that i still dont fully understand,

thanks to the devs and playerbase for making this game what it is,

and thanks to the reader for putting up with my strange little tangent

xMrPink [221113]

I am thankful to Dede for inviting me into her cult and indoctrinating me entirely.

I am forever grateful to my old friends in the original Little Stompers and M&C set ups. Although we have taken different paths in torn and in life, I can look back fondly on my noob days.

And to those who often sat at the other side of the table to me. Competition, rivalries and “enemies” have always kept the game alive.

SoldierXV [3365352]

Just started a few months ago, and got absolutely hooked.

I don't have anyone notable or famous to thank, but let me just start off with my friends who introduced me to this game, who I've been competing fiercely with, who have grown with me, not just in this game, but as people in real life.

If I'd have to pick out someone in-game, it would be fullonninja17, who accepted me into Ninja's Playground despite me being a level five greenie with like, 100 total stats to my name.

That's led me to becoming the co-lead of Ninja's Assassins not two weeks ago, what I suppose is my greatest achievement in Torn right now.

Hell, I'll probably look back on this in like three years and say, "Damn, this kid with just 200 million dollars to his name thinks becoming a co-leader of a random bronze faction is his greatest achievement"

But just taking a step back, Torn has... I wouldn't say it has changed my perspective on life, but it's definitely opened my eyes to how many good people there are in society when all you see on the news is "this person got arrested, that person got kidnapped" type headlines.

And I'm grateful that Torn isn't perfect, that it's not finished, that it will keep getting updates for years to come, because it means there will always be new challenges and opportunities for growth within the game. And that, I think, is a good reflection of life itself - an ever-evolving journey with endless possibilities for learning and development.

RedDead [2637921]

On the off chance any of them scroll this far:

Muzza & MissBreakDown for taking me in and teaching me the ways of obnoxious hilarity.

All of STS for getting me hooked, and for the many who have stayed my friend throughout the years. I'm so glad I met you guys, both in game and a few at TornCon too.

Ham for abandoning his RW fac - "It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to."

DimitriPopov and Ham for starting a lil cache farm with me back in the day.

Muzza & Dezy for believing in us, helping us, and just being damn good friends - pricks though they may be (love you both xo).

Muzza for always having hot Starbucks waiting in the morning and for the ChatGPT Larry the Llama story.

DrunkenNinja for always having my back no matter what.

Rosti for being a good friend, someone who stands up for me when I won't stand up for myself, and an absolute rockstar who has shown us what growth in Torn really looks like.

LionsSinofPride and TmTheEnchanter for falling into this faction and integrating like it was nothing.

BustinCaps and ScaryTerry_ for always making me laugh.

Lore for always coming back.

JFK for taking us in, propping us up, and giving us freedom and family at the same time. Thank you for having so much faith in us, and for teaching us so much at the same time.

And of course Kuno, for following my absurd shenanigans relentlessly around the game for one thousand and some odd days now. I still have the best spouse in Torn.
