Torn is based in the UK...even though the bets are based on virtual currency, I see no reason why Torn should not have to follow the UK Gambling Commission's requirements for a fair game.
If they do not follow the Commission's requirements.....this might be against UK Law.....
I am very new to these games...(first one actually), I have been lurking to get an idea of how these things are run....I apologize for being green but the only way to learn is to participate and follow the theme.....as far as I know......I am not sure how much someone is allowed to reveal....I have seen some provide almost all their information and some provide none....but I do not believe in the mob rules system of justice....I think everyone should make decisions based on their own information and their own intuition.....
Td3h seemed to be more than reasonable in asking questions before taking action...He should not be punished because the authority he contacted did not seem interested in investigating his claims...it seems to me that with a little investigation and a few pertinent questions...this whole scenario could have been avoided before it got out of control......I give Td3h cudos for trying to determine if the actions he suggested would fall within the rules......it seems that the ones in authority did not want to be bothered with investigating the issue......not the fault of the players that attempted to ensure that their activities did not run afoul of the rules

What is the best way to increase Battle Stats once a player has achieved over a million in each stat?

I would rather see you stay in Torn.....Take a break.........maybe RL is overwhelming at the moment......But keep your stuff...possibly, in the future you may want to return to Torn.........

In the real world, it is quite possible to maintain a portfolio as long as there is Internet access. Which is obviously available, checking messages, and reading newspapers all involve Internet access.
Other than the fact that Stock purchases are not available on a flight, I like the new system.
Depending on the length of the Chain.....Donating 1 xannie for every 10 hits required for Chain would allow Faction members that are active to take those xannies and make the extra 10 hits.........RL comes first and if a Faction member donates the xannies which would amount to the number of hits required by each member, it should compensate for being absent.
Not that it should occur on a regular basis but financing the Chain through Xannies and meds does compensate for absenteeism...IMO
After seeing the input here, I think I possibly hit hijack a few times by mistake.....When I got a new laptop, it was super sensitive until I adjusted it.

I did receive 2 Cosworths through GTA (there was nowhere else they could have come from), and there were a few weeks that my laptop was clicking sporadically. So I am going to come to the conclusion that accidentally clicking hijack proved to be very lucky for me.
I have only worked in Fitness Centers while in Torn. I sold new and used cars for 18 years in RL, I have no desire to play any part of that in a game.
I know that I was never gifted a Cosworth through my Events. Yet, I have received two Cosworths since playing Torn. After several discussions with veteran players, I have no explanation where those Cosworths came from.
My fault for blasting through crimes without reading the text on a text-based game,...I agree. But it did happen..."I Swear"
I do not know where..how..or when it happened but twice I opened my vehicle inventory.....and twice, I had a Cosworth in stock. Not purchased, not gifted, but still...there they were!
I have received two Sierra Cosworths through the GTA crimes.
I admit that sometimes I do not pay attention to the cars I get.
I do parked cars and sometimes I do showroom.
I have received two Sierra Cosworths through GTA. I have never intentionally done a carjacking though it is possible I clicked hijack by mistake Is there a chance I received the Cosworths through the parked cars/showroom? Or was I so extremely lucky that I mistakenly clicked Hijack and mysteriously received the two Cosworths? I have not heard of anyone else grabbing a Cosworth through the parked car/showroom option but I am very hesitant to believe I could have received two of the vehicles through accidental clicks.

All this for 900 million......what a complete shmuck.....this could be considered ruining a Torn account for a Snicker bar.....what a complete loser.....
