With the recent changes, something that most likely will change to a larger or lesser degree in the future, I wondered why "revive chains" has never been a thing. Naturally, revivers get cash for their revives, that does not mean that running a revive faction is anywhere near as easy as running a regular warring faction exclusively. Gaining respect is harder as a revive faction, revive during wars/contracts on top of chaining now and then, there is not much energy left for training compared to the regulars.
I suggest that revive factions should get some respect from reviving, say 15-50% of what regular chains would give. Exactly where the balance would be I'm not sure, but to replace 25E you spent during war/revive you would need to spend ~$1,750,000 (energy cans, and the price changes).
Revives costs ~$1M, so they get 57% of the actual value of the energy spent (energy spent -> replacement cost). Going with that number, they lose out of 43% potential respect gain.
A "revive chain" would have the same timers as regular chains, they would not cause any respect loss, bonuses would count the same as regular chains (though separate chain, revive specific). Keeping the revive chain might require members to revive randoms in the hospital.
Exactly where the balance is I'm not 100% sure, respect would be gained outside of "revive chains", I'm guessing the cap would be 43%, but perhaps it should be at the lowest possible price for E replacement cost for cans? (cost per E, can vs. can)
Anyway, I just got this idea, and instead of rambling without running all the numbers beforehand I guess I should just post this concept.
Edit: The Revive Chain would be a separate chain from a regular Chain, a faction could not do both for the same chain count and/or bonuses.
Just increase the payout from crimes by 10x, simple as that.
I'd bet that is what a lot of players really want for crimes, to not just be a grind for merits and eventually CXP, so they can finally do Political Assassination in a faction for profits. Nerve really has no mentionable value, and honestly 2.0 was announced over 10 years ago (21/09/12).
Just like the 60 NNB cap that was released a long time ago to prepare for 2.0, I think we should get a proper profit increase to make crimes relevant again.
Edit 1: Organized Crime profits also needs a similar buff.
Buying bulks of losses for Xanax, no need to ask if I'm still buying, I am at all times. I am not paying for one loss here and there, you need to be actively doing the losses in succession, within a timely manner.
4 losses = 1 Xanax
10 losses = 3 Xanax
14 losses = 4 Xanax
Just to add, since selling losses is only useful to new players, a tiny piece of information. Selling losses is called "slutting" in Torn, so I'll use that word:
You want to reach level 15 as soon as possible, you further want to reach $2B in the bank as soon as possible, but you should stop slutting at maybe $100M NW. With 3 Xanax you probably want to do this, prior to reaching level 15:
Xanax 1: Slutting to triple that Xanax, you might overdose, so in the beginning you want to use it to sell losses.
Xanax 2: Train in the gym to gain stats.
Xanax 3: Attack weaker players so you can level up.
Overdosing: If you overdose, there is a ~2% chance of that, you will lose all your happy, energy, nerve, and you will get a 24hr cooldown instead of the normal ~7hrs.
Once you have reached level 15 you can travel, buying items overseas and selling them in Torn. But that's an entirely different subject. You can check out this list of guides, or you can read this thread, intended to help new players. I agree with the statement in that thread, slutting is not good long term, but it is the best option early on.
Item market links for meds:

Link to check how many Xanax I have sent you: HERE
If I have not paid you by 22:00 the same day, please send me a PM! I usually pay between 20:00-22:00 - I am not a fast payer unless you attack in that window, but I do pay no matter when your attacks are made.
So this is a very basic idea, if I can even call it that. What I would really like (especially for those late hours) is the option to have a darker theme. Possibly even set a daily timer for it.
The issue: If your surroundings are dark, white (or otherwise bright websites) is like a laser to the eye. I personally try to spend as little time on them as possible.
The solution: An option to select a darker layout/theme, or even just background color (including changing black text to white if it gets really dark).
Edit: It appears some players would like colored themes, personally I'd be fine if at least the black and grey lines from the top of the site went all the way down. Not sure how much can be done with as little job as possible, but ultimately we should get the option to choose between a wider range of color themes - background, text and the front layer of the UI. I'm sure if this get's worked on you will look into giving as many options as possible...
Edit 2: possible theme related icons etc. on page 12
Edit 3: Perhaps allow users to use local pictures for background (and even a limited number of items, like hospital background etc.) to avoid requiring too much coding. Basically users could select Light, Dark and maybe a few more, and then combine with a picture from their local computer or even pictures from the web. This would satisfy every wish, and it would not impact Torn in any major way. I'm not a developer, so I really don't know what the fastest to code/lowest impact on server is so... Basically just giving the devs some ideas based on thread feedback =)
I'm sure bogie does all he can, I have seen him appear sort of sarcastic and perhaps not as invested/dedicated to solving issues as customers/players should come to expect. Sure, this is a game and not a billion dollar company, but this game still has a lot of people to handle.
Doing "public relations" is a lot of work, so much so that Chedburn hired 1 person to do the job and not be part of it at all himself. It could have worked if they did a 50/50 split, but bogie does like what, 99% of the work in that area? It honestly looks like bogie is burned out sometimes, telling people to find other sites if they are "just going to be a toxic piece of shit" (most recent I have read). The thread was questioning, not accusing, so the response seemed partially out of place.
I also made a thread a while ago, requesting staff to investigate RMT sites (there are hundreds for Torn, surprisingly, I even found a few on the dark web) - bogies initial reply was that I was "a lowlife idiot for even questioning them" before he edited it within minutes to something much more suitable for a CM.
I honestly think bogie has a too large workload, this game has thousands of daily players. That also means that bogie can not catch a break to gain some energy IRL.
I have seen, perhaps trolls, request a new CM, I doubt that would change much, I believe that would make things worse. I think bogie (or any CM for this game) needs someone on their same level to lean on, for the players to get the CM level of support that is often expected from (today) bogie alone.
Right now I would assume that the elimination and halloween events could have pushed the crime to be delayed. Imagine if they released the next crime on day 1 of halloween.
They will still be as shocked as they are every year that they needed extra server capacity for the halloween event this year though, crash-fest day 1 even without a new crime.
I'm not sure if there is a practical way to do this as a script, or even a discord bot. I would imagine that the API calls would be insane, unless it was done similar to the bazaar script, where every seller use their API key to get listed. That said, it is time consuming to check for the armor and weapons you want, with the correct bonuses.
What I want is a script that checks for the specific items I want. I want weapon X with the weapon bonus Y, with a minimum weapon bonus percentage of Z, or maybe weapon quality of Æ. Or even minimum damage or accuracy.
Same thing for armor, if it appears on the item market or auction house, I want a ping to notify me.
Preferably it would include some price history, but I'm not sure if that's possible as Torn only stores the base weapon/armor minimum price. A bottom item price is useless for a top item price after all.
Simply put, I want to find relevant items without spending days on end to find it, I simply want a ping when they appear.
