The current policy towards treatment of injuries and illnesses by people in the United States only requires that a patient be stabilized. After that all treatment is based on the patient's ability to pay. The private pay system contributes to the patient not being able to pay by the insurance industry and medical providers arranging payment amounts. These amounts are so high that the average american citizen becomes dependent on the insurance industry. This can cause injuries and illnesses to become potentially life-threatening or life-long disabilities. Where had they been treated as soon as possible would not have any serious adverse affect in their long term health.

You should have said GDP growth is not representative of quality of life growth. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer. If say the top 1 percent, like in the US, control 80 percent of the economy it is obvious that GDP growth can be skewed to give a rosy picture about economic growth overall. If we join Jordan and Iraq we might be able to get rid of DASH for a while. Before we left Iraq, DASH was Al Qaeda in Iraq, and we pushed them into Syria which let them have refuge there and did nothing to stop them from retreating into their country. We had the Sunni's on the payroll them. But when we left Iraq the Iraq president started replacing competent Sunni military leaders with Shia. That's how DASH was able to get back into Iraq, the Sunnis in Mosul didn't know if the Iraq president or DASH was worse.

The longer we wait the worse it is going to get. We are absolutely needed there. I'm sure the rest of NATO will be on our side, although they won't contribute nearly as many soldier as we will. Turkey will be held responsible to help as they are the second largest NATO military now and King Abdullah probably see this as a good opportunity to get support from us.
