So just wondering what people would think about a tutorial channel for Torn City?

And I'm willing to take ideas to make more but if no ones going to be interested I won't put in the effort.

Right now if you type in Torn City on youtube you get reviews, outdated tutorials, and scams and I'd like to try and change that.

So thanks to MadameButterfly[1035358] and -Monkey-[892675] I got a laugh out of hearing some clever scammer stories.

I don't want to scam and have never tried(well I tried once when I was less than 100 days old, but that was like 8 years ago leave me alone), but I'd love to hear some stories xD.

MadameButterfly [1035358]I haven't had anything that could be classed as awkward but I remember about 2 years ago there was a scammer called Messi Berca (I think, some footballers name anyway) who use to brag all the time on the forums about his scams and one day he decided to empty out his own faction bank and send it to himself to feed his gambling addiction but one of his faction members changed their name to something very similar to his and he sent it to them by mistake and when he asked them for it back they basically told him to f**k off so he had a micky fit on the forums demanding Ched give him the money he scammed back and then rage quitted when everyone said "tough shit", it was about 3bil he lost xD

Now that is a passive aggressive way of dealing with a scammer and showing them how smart they really are

I could fill this thread with hawkward moments for other people, there is a melee weapon called a Kama that everyone forgot about because no one used it and one f**king genius worked out that if you tell people you are going to sell them your company they join, you call the company Kama and trade a Kama instead of the companythey will send you millions (this was before the trade checks) and he did it about 50 times before people copped onto the scam so then he did the opposite and would buy really cheap companies and offer to sell dumbbells for 100 mil if a person would join his company for a week first so they would join and put the 100 mil in the trade and he'd change the name of the company (that he bought for a mil)to "Dumbbells" and they would all accept the tradelol

HAhahaha this scammer was brilliant, I don't like scammers, but seriously, that's brilliant.

lol another classic was the "dual hammer" scam, they'd offer to sell dual hammers and then in the trade put just 2 hammers and it would say "Hammer x 2" and they'd just say "Yeah that's how dual hammers show in the trade" and people would actually pay them 100's of millions for them lol

There's other ways to check market prices, just ask a friend who isn't traveling to check a few things for you.
And I thought the laptop let you check those things anyways?

Ammo locker in the items page, you can choose which ammo you'd like to buy based on your weapon(you can click on the ammo size to find out which weapons use what ammo). Right now only basic ammo is available and the rest are on the way in a later update.

The stat gain from army points is exponential as they accumulate. They more you have the more you gain and since you waited at least 3 months you gained a nice bonus :)

From what I've seen there's no difference(at the stat gain cap anyways), I have 170 job points atm and I expect to get somewhere between 1.70 mil to 1.75 mil if I used them right now. approx. ~10.1k stats per job point.

Yes them to your advantage, choose what's most important to you.


I would recommend using them on nerve to help you get crime merits quicker, or bank interest if you use the bank very often.

Those things are still pretty flimsy(or so it looks) so I'm not sure what you would use it for, and it's run off Bluetooth? very short range also :(

Buying them from the item market or other players(bazaars) is pretty reliable and they will eventually restock in Hawai'i, just have to be around for it.

Stats used to be a measure of dedication to the game, measure of longevity, measure of strength even. Now it feels like they mean next to nothing at times. Rehab bills are fine, it's something you learn to deal with. If you can afford the cost of taking enough xanax to get your rehab bill to that point you should be able to afford it.

The stat changes are crippling though, group attacks make sense but being piled on and losing to 5 or 6 much weaker players feels almost humiliating sometimes. Then the ridiculous stats required to be untouchable are astronomical and painful. Torn is eventually going to hit a stat sweet spot where there's no real point in investing the funds to train harder. The cost to efficiency ratio of stats is going to plummet.

It's possible to have more than one car depending on the track you're racing. Experienced racers use multiple cars because cars have differing stats.

In the event there's a Torn-wide competition your status is usually put in there if you choose to get involved.

For example during the zombie competition it would have information saying whether or not you're a zombie or infectable.
