As a member of one of your revive factions I'd just like to thank you for running them and for giving me a reason to play Torn.
When I joined up I had no clear idea what Torn was. I remember getting several approaches from factions that war, but they were not attractive to me. 'You must take 3 Xanax daily, plus a refill. You must take part in RW. You must take part in chains. Do all this or get kicked'. Is this a game or a job? I had previously played 'The Walking Dead, Road to Survival' for a few years. This game ended up sucking the life out of me with how competitive it became. Eventually I quit before it destroyed my relationship and my wallet. I didn't want my life in Torn to be anything remotely like that.
And then I was approached by a player suggesting joining WTF as a reviver. After a little research I applied and got accepted. Mug, my faction leader, was a great help and set out a clear path to reviving. My revive skill is now 94 and I'm aiming for 100. I make a little cash every few days from reviving. It must be said that most people don't even say thanks, let alone give you some kind of reward, but that's OK, I'm not here to amass a fortune by reviving. Doing something to help people in a game based on crime and aggression may seem odd to some of you, but I get some satisfaction from it. So I'm quite happy to revive those who OD on Xanax, crash their cars, or carve each other up in combat. It keeps me occupied.
I have successfully reduced your stock by one pen knife and one golf club, Unlock more for me and I'll buy those too. Otherwise you're stuck with them.
when you acquire an item via a crime, it used to be the case that clicking on that item told you what it was. Since yesterday this is no longer happening for me.
Crimes 2.0, pickpocketing. Safari on iOS ipad mini.
Isn't there another possibility? I'm not American, thank goodness, so I could be wrong.
Vance runs for President, with Trump as his running mate. Somehow, through deluded voter ignorance, yet more blatant corruption, or massive voter suppression, Vance wins. Vance then resigns, difficult to see why he would though, and lo and behold the diaper-clad loon is President once more. I guess the framers never saw that coming.
I've had one book so far. The advice I found on the forum was to buy it, so I did. Still haven't read it. Full disclosure, I have the mission bonus stock block, no idea whether that makes any difference to books appearing or not.
I like how, in your case, four identical items have four different costs! The most duplicates I've had is two ammo items. They had different costs too.
I agree with you. There should be something more to aim for. Something that would be of benefit to your game.
I've been here about three years, and I have just 26 courses left to complete. 26 courses that offer me no real benefit other than increasing my work stats. So all those people aged four years and above must have nothing left to achieve with regard to education courses. Sad state of affairs really.
Your revive skill is way too low to attract paying customers, assuming that that's what you want. It also doesn't appear to have increased during the past month. Hang around the hospital and revive people for free to get your skill up. Some of them might even feel generous and give you some kind of reward.
Thanks for this. Just the other day I was regretting (yes, I know, get a life) not taking a screenshot of all the level up images that have briefly occupied my screen. But the Wiki says that there are only 25 of them. IIRC I saw an image for each level up, so should there not be 100 (or is it 99?) of them? Or do they cycle through and get repeated?
A great many years ago I saw a film entitled '10 Rillington Place'. It concerned the crimes of John Christie and the wrongful execution of Timothy Evans for some of them.
Whilst obviously done for cinematic and emotional effect, the execution scene has remained with me to this day. Put yourself in Evans' shoes as you are taken to be executed for a crime you haven't done. Now support the death penalty.
I currently own 20 books. I have yet to read a book. Primarily this is because almost all of them have a life of 31 days, and it would be a waste to use them at my current stat/activity level.
I'm not one now, but I was. Served for 30 years. Helped to make my county a slightly better place in which to live. So I know of what I speak, unlike you.
The worst bazaar I remember seeing. No bargains. Nothing below current prices. Everything inflated, some at up to 999%. How do you expect anyone to buy your stuff?
I thought that Republican politicians supported Trump because they were scared of him, and not because they necessarily agreed with his policies. All he had to do was endorse your opponent and your cushy little career in Washington was over. But I now see that even those who have lost their primaries, and consequently have nothing to lose (other than any tiny fragment of self-respect that they might have left), are still all in on him. WTF?
Are you now, or have you ever been an English police officer? No? Then STFU, you're just making a fool of yourself with such thoughtless, lazy comments.
