I'll start by saying I've been a subscriber for a long time. Take a gander at my age - I've been here since well before Torn even looked like this. As far as I'm concerned, this is still TornCity.
Subscriber used to be worthwhile. You used to wake up to a new month with some decent gear. Maybe a book! maybe some otherwise somewhat rare item. Sometimes you'd wake up to trash. Thanks for the couple million - worthless on its own in Torn economy.
These days, since the introduction of caches... It seems like all we get is garbage. Thanks for the clothing, Ched, and the med supplies box. Sure makes me feel compensated in the smallest way for supporting your game over the years. If it was just here and there, okay. I've got nothing but trash for literally the last 6 months - with the exception to the mission credits book. I think that's broke, as well, but that's neither here nor there.
Subscriber just isn't worth it anymore. Economically speaking, it's a better deal to just buy a DP when you need it. I love this game. I love torn. Can't possibly play it for *half your life* and not like it. But Ched has got too greedy. A pair of Silver Pants don't justify my continued expenditure.

Ched is ripping everyone off. These clothing caches are trash - they will never include anything to make you better. Ever. Just, maybe more shiny - Maybe. Maybe. Thats just it.

Ched will listen to money. Whats happened to subscription play is a disgrace. There is no reason to keep paying Ched - you're not actually getting a benefit. Anyone can buy a DP and get the E boost. Subs arent special.
FURTHER - The multiplier for Steelers was 2.00, while the Multiplier for Colts was 2.05. So, the only way to cheat the system to turn a profit (I'm gonna go ahead and imagine you suggest two players are going to hedge or some garbage.) would be if the Colts had won their spread. Which did didn't even come close to - in fact they were 18 points off. So nobody could have possibly won out even trying to do that. So that argument in and of itself is just a garbage excuse to not pay out the billions people put in picking the Steelers to win - which anybody that knows NFL football even a little knew was what was going to happen. Could have had the spread at -9 and guess what. Still picking Steelers. It's complete trash that the bets were cancelled after the game because... 'OH NO THERE WAS A MISTAKE' no, there wasn't. There wasn't any means of the system being ripped off by even bigger degenerate players, and the odds were fine. FFS, could have paid out only 1.78x and sent a mess message 'sorry we f***ed up but it was our error instead of nobody getting anything for picking correctly here's what the payout was supposed to be at' but no. Just screw everbody. By the way, how does one screw up typing in 1.## and get 2? Does your bookie pannel round for you? that seems like some middle school programming, if that's the case.
Definitely gotta give credit where credit is due. NS4, your strategy was infuriatingly successful for a day, and your ability to successfully coordinate the entire faction into getting tf out of torn at the same time was.... a master stroke. Unfortunately, it isn't a strategy that can hold up long term since when you're away from Torn like that you can't really pump up your E to keep building the chain to land those bonus hits, and eventually everyone has to come back.
But really, that was impressive in the most infuriating way possible. I applaud your creativity and resolve to not just lie down and take the L without a fight. Well fought, and cheers to all of you.

As for the spike.... I haven't any earthly clue. I do know that time frame is about when I started getting my life together and bought a new laptop and had the torn page open all day every day, but it'd have idled out pretty much every day whilst at work. I can't recall ever really using the mobile app very much, especially not back then, so I genuinely have no idea. spitballing ideas, but maybe it was a google (or even firefox, I know I was using that for a long while) version that was randomly reloading pages? I'm sure the anti-cheat systems would have picked up on that, however, and I'd have received some kind of message or warning, and I don't recall that ever happening so... I really don't know. I will say I have seen that spike myself and often been like 'what the hell was I doing then?' but then just kind of brush it off and move on.
To the original point of this report though, since you can see I was indeed actively playing during the great server crash of 2007... and still again in 2013 when you say the rollback window took place. can we look into retroactively giving me the honor bar I'm missing?
I accepted the mission, Tree Huggers, from Duke and was assigned 8 targets. I go to attack the first target I was assigned, and he is in Fed Jail Permanently, Account marked for deletion.
My mission is impossible to complete through no fault or cause of my own.
About a week or so ago I noticed my vault page changed. The text boxes are smaller than normal, and there is no longer a button to automatically add my on hand amount to the text box.
I am (normally) using Google Chrome. I have disabled all scripts, and have cleared my cookies and cache completely, and there is no change. I have tried using incognito mode, and that made no difference.
I booted up Firefox and it is working normally, which is how I'm able to make this post, however I don't actually use Firefox at all and would like to continue playing on Google Chrome.
I am missing the Time Traveler Honor Bar/Merit for surviving a server roll back. Ive been playing Torn since roughly 2005, and was in college during the great server crash of 2007 (I forget exactly when, but I do know I was still in the dorms. so first half of 2007) and logged in eventually after servers were restored - and time was rolled back to do it.
I should have received this honor bar. I have been hesitant to complain about it because eh its just 1 honor bar but its distinctive, like my age. Several faction mates have advised that this is how I go about getting that fixed.

The treats stay the same but the score card UI changes, and with it the perks. You have to start the special easter board from 0, and maybe with some modified perks and such for the holiday, but you can use leftover treats from halloween on easter and vice versa.
I wonder what summoning the Easter Bunny would do.
Add a paid for link to a password manager Torn likes and signing up gets the player something nice. A one-off, but make it decent. It just might help persuade a few more 10s of thousands of people to further secure their accounts, making the mods life easier.
I only suggest cause I bought a subscription to a password manager after reading the newspaper article on 2fa and thought - I used to get perks for clicking links and giving other people my money. What happened to that?
