With all the different property to choose from it seems wasteful to only have the PI as the best in every way. Since it is only $500 mill it seems like a clear choice and leaves all the other properties more or less forgotten and useless. Even if you don't have $500 mill it is still easy to get into one just by renting and furthermore, if the 4225 PI's are still to up there you can get one with the essential airstrip for cheep and be flying for free in no time. This suggestion is not to undermine the value of the PI or replace it with any other property, it is simply a way to give the other ones some value for you to choose from.
Please leave a comment if you like the idea to keep it at the top of the post :D ty
I believe each property needs a unique bonus INCLUDING the PI, not just more happy. I have thought about the bonuses for only a few hrs and this is what i have come up with. If anyone has any suggestions that seem to make more sense please leave a comment.
Trailer- Small mobile home, easily relocated, capable of off-grid lifestyle. Harder for authorities to track, +5% success rate for all crimes.
Apartment- Having to climb stairs all day just to get home keeps you more healthy, +1% dexterity and speed gains in the gym.
Semi-Detached House- Having to deal with noisy neighbors can passively train you to stay calm, +1 (5 max) max nerve for each improvement.
Detached House- Much like a normal house you have a yard and other things to take care of, builds work ethic, +10% work stat gains.
Beach House- Still a house just better, but you also have a 36.5904(10^19) gallon pool called the ocean to swim in, +1% defense and strength gains in the gym.
Chalet- Has a pool but also has a view, swimming with the feeling of serenity helping you to focus your mind in a relaxing environment. -5 energy required for revives (does not stack with faction, -25 max energy reduction) for each improvement.
Villa- Getting services by now and with your own natural food supply you can eat more healthy. -25% cool down on booster items
Penthouse- Your in the sky, you got guards, and a gym, +1% gym gains and +5% passive defense bonus
Mansion- Your yard is now large enough to practice firearms training for small - med size full auto primary's and all secondary weapons, +10% damage inflicted with these types of firearms.
Ranch- Even bigger yard, with neighbors out of site and out of harms way we get to play with big toys. Heavy machine guns, anti-tank, explosives, and temporary weapon training give you a respective bonus in these categories. +5% accuracy and 5% damage for these weapon types.
Palace- A palace is a place of elegance and we don't need the smell of sulfur floating through the house, so lets make use of the space inside and conduct hand to hand and melee style weapon training. +10% damage and + 3% accuracy for these weapon types.
Castle- Tall thick walls offer superior defense compared to any other home offering a unique way to improve your own defense tactics, +2% defense gym gains, +10% passive defense bonus and +2% damage
Private Island- I think this one just needs buffed a bit, but with the high level of happy you can have vs any other property i think it balances out, maybe +3% gym gains all around (instead of 2%) keep the +10 travel cap the same, and +2-3% damage.
I'm not at all great at coming up with variety so most of my buffs are to do with gym gains, nerve mods, stat enhancements, and job stat enhancements if that can even be done with current programming. So i ask for suggestions so i can make some of these truly unique, if you have a suggestion please include a small description like i did with all mine as to why you came to that conclusion.
Edit: Every 5-15 min (or at 00:00 TCT time) the bonus would kick in for the current property your in, as to avoid bonus abuse. Thank you Arrow [2024586]for bringing that tiny but very important detail to my attention.
Edit: Special properties like the sea fort would have an option of 3-6 perks they can choose from on a list on acquisition and could switch them out like faction perks with an "unset perks" timer. I'm thinking the timer would last anywhere from 1-2 weeks. Ty to Jefayette [2044515]for that idea i think it really fits well with a progression system.
Edit: Tomas [676400] suggested we add a property worth 5-10B. I personally think it's a good idea but it would add another layer of complexity to this idea I was not going for. If anyone else thinks another property is needed then post one you think would fit the bill. something between a PI and a special property. I will be looking into this myself as well.
I had an idea that may be a bit different then buying a property. Maybe the peak of the latter can be renting a celebrity home instead of being bought, this could be a perpetual way to remove money from the game. Rent could be like 50-100M a day. You would also have to rent it from the estate agent. They would have some crazy perks or combination of perks like +10%-20% gym gains, +20 travel item carry, or business class flying and no need to purchase the airstrip or hire a pilot cause you are renting it and they can never be changed. You can't hire more staff you can't improve anything and I think 7500-maybe 10k happy. in just 5-10 days you would have spent more on rent than a pair of boxing gloves. This is probably really unbalanced so don't take my figures as something I calculated, I just tossed numbers in there to get the point across.
I understand weapons and armor have been "improved" to include unique effects and such, but the quality of the item is still based on luck when buying them overseas and thus, so are the stats. I was thinking about a crafting system for weapons and armor that would put the quality output of the weapons (and maybe armor one day) in the players hands and not some random number generator.
The first step would be to include an education degree similar to combat training, so i'll provide a gross oversimplification of that first. --- WeaponSmith---
C1- intro Intro
C2- craft Machine Guns (72 hrs)
C3- craft Submachine Guns (48 hrs)
C4- craft Pistols (36 hrs)
C5- craft Rifles (60 hrs)
C6- craft Heavy Artillery (84 hrs)
C7- craft Shotguns (60 hrs)
C8- Tooling- Gain +2% stats on crafted weapons.
C9- Precision engineering- Gain an additional +3% stats on crafted weapons.
C10- Meltdown procedures- gain the ability to melt down inferior weapons.
C11- Bachelor of WeaponSmithing- Crafting ingots and weapons takes 10% less time to craft and start gaining "craft skill" for each assembled weapon.
NOTE: the times displayed next to the classes is not the time it takes to complete the class, it is the time required to assemble the weapon.
Now you might be thinking at this point, "Steel_Rain... your a moron, this would make people stop buying weapons overseas!!!" but if you keep reading i'll explain why that's not the case.
Additionally, a hidden exp bar containing your "craft skill" for each weapon type would need to be implemented and would start gaining exp in that skill after completing Bachelor of WeaponSmithing.
Step 2 would be to create 3 new items (and 1 new item for each weapon type (frames) explained further down) that correspond with actual weapon parts. Any attachments like scopes, mags, grips, ect would stay the same and be acquired as they currently are in game.
Trigger assembly
Barrel
Stock (only on specific weapon types IE: Rifles, Machine guns... not Pistols)
Weapon frame (each weapon type would have it's own frame)
Each part would have 4 stats (including 1 main stat) that contribute toward the overall stats of the weapon when assembled (Damage, Accuracy, Rate of Fire, Stealth) These parts can only be obtained by breaking down already assembled weapons. So like i said earlier, this wont stop people from buying weapons overseas. In fact, it might even help more weapons to get bought! Who knows, but it makes sense to me lol. So i'll list 4 example parts and explain how the math would work, it's pretty simple. I'll use a Rifle Weapon.
Because each frame is unique to the weapon type, a specific frame would be selected first then the corresponding parts could be assembled on it. Each frame is the building block for each weapon, so for example, a sig frame vs an M16 frame. A sig has more dmg AND accuracy overall, so the base frame would have a small boost in comparison, but not so much that a high skilled crafter couldn't make an M16 with higher stats than a sig, it would just be very very VERY hard to do, and would be more worth the crafters effort to just make sigs instead... but we all know players like to do unique things when given the opportunity :) Anyway, onto the part stats!
Again, using a Sig frame as an example.
Weapon frame (Sig 550)(Stealth)
stealth +1%
damage 18
accuracy 10%
fire rate 2
Trigger assembly (fire rate)
fire rate +1-2
damage +11-12
accuracy +1-2%
stealth +.35-.55%
Barrel (accuracy)
accuracy +45-50%
fire rate + 1-1.5
damage + 11-13
stealth + .6-.95%
Stock (damage)
damage +20-30
accuracy + 5-9%
fire rate + 1-2
stealth + .3-.8%
Final Stats:
fire rate -(frame 2+(1-1.5)+(1-1.5)+(1-2)) = 5-7 fire rate
In the end, all of these stats would be modified by the skill level of the crafter and EDU classes taken. So lets say there is a player who has level 10 crafting skill for Rifles, and lest also say that each level gives the crafter a +.5% boost to all stats when assembled giving us a total of a 5% boost. Then we add the EDU bonuses(2%+3%=5%), that would turn all those stats into these stats:
5-7 fire rate = 5.5-7.7 (fire rate could be rounded up or down to keep a clean whole number)
60-66 damage = 66-72.6 (damage could be rounded up or down to keep a clean whole number)
61-71% accuracy = 67.01-78.1%
2.25-3.3% stealth = 2.48-3.63%
A problem you might be seeing with this setup is a player could craft a weapon, disassemble it, and put it back together to stack crafting bonuses over and over again and come up with some crazy over powered Thompson SMG that could be used by a 1 day old player to kill Bodybagger xD. The solution to this is simple, when a weapon is disassembled, it looses the crafters bonus and each part goes back to the base stats it had before it was crafted.
Forgot to add ingots to the O/P, so here it is (thank you Glimph for pointing it out) The creation of an ingot is the final resting place for a weapon you believe to be so inferior that you wouldn't even let your enemies use it :P They can only be created from melting down the ENTIRE weapon at 1 time. Though it is not realistic, I would do it this way for the sake of simplicity. I did say "parts" in the first draft but have since fixed it, I meant to say, "gain the ability to melt down inferior weapons." So anyway, each weapon class would have X amount of ingots based on it's relative size. For instance, a pistol may give you 50 ingots, while a mini-gun would give you 200 or even 300. Whenever you acquired enough ingots you could use them to roll a new weapon. If you get 50 ingots out of a pistol then i think it should take 300 or more to make one, call it slag loss if you want :) You could make any weapon you want (minus gold plated AK's and other unique weapons) from the ingots.
I would really appreciate any kind of feedback, I think it would be a lot of fun to craft weapons and armor (for now just weapons) giving players a whole new way to play, creating truly unique weapons based off the players skill and activity in the craft.
If you made it this far, thank you for reading my wall of text, I know it can put a lot of people off so I have made it as simple as i knew how while trying to contain the core elements of the idea.
Edit: the time it takes to craft the weapon will restrict you from flying for that amount of time, like racing. Can't craft items on a plane as mentioned by GreekPoser
Edit: I would like to add job stats to the equation (suggested by Matrim_Cauthon and GreekPoser). This was not my original idea but seems like a cool way to make job stats do more than just help you get into better jobs. I'm still open to suggestions on the matter but my initial thought is to give an additional buff to the crafter for having X-amount of job stats. I was thinking something along the lines of +0.1% boost for every 10k job stats but with a slight twist. Instead of simply adding up all the job stats to get a total, it will run off your lowest job stat you have and multiply it by 3. So for example, if your lowest stat is 1k and the other 2 are 5k each then you have 11k total stats (1k+(5k*2)) but only 3k of them are effective (1k*3) at helping you craft better weapons.
The alternative idea i had was to reduce the time it takes to craft the weapon by about 0.5-1% using the same method.
---using 1% reduction---
100hr craft time - 1% = 99hrs (5,940min) craft time (6000-(6000*.01))
99hr craft time - 1% = 98.01hrs (5,880min) craft time (5940-(5940*.01)) so on and so on.
Say you have 500k in your lowest job stat, thats 1.5m total stats to be calculated. You would end up with 4,671.29 min (77.85hrs) of reduced craft time making your total craft time 1,328.71 min (22.14hrs). This is a diminishing return formula so that no mater how many job stats you have you can never reduce the craft time to zero hrs.
I was telling one of my new members how to get the blood donation perk so he could fill blood bags in the faction armory.
Short version of the conversation made me ask myself,"Why isn't there a blood bank in the city?"
Low level people that can't fly yet could use this as some additional income.
Also note, They would not need the IV class to do this.
My aim is to get new players a new source of income without disturbing any markets.
It would work just like a blood bag does now, you would get a 3hr medial cool down, and 20% of your HP taken. The only difference is, the person donating would get money (say 15k?) instead of a blood bag with there blood type. In addition, the blood type of the person would not be reviled, so it won't effect the blood bag market.
Maybe this could even become a new stock in the stock market [:hushed:] ....... that will have to be a different suggestion :)
I will offer top $ for your items, I will never mug! Just check out how many enemies I have.
If you have something not listed you want to offer and i'm offline send me a message, likewise if i'm online, start a chat or a trade with with me for a fast response.
I will buy just 5-7% below market depending on the item, trades are always negotiable and will fluctuate with current prices.
Would anyone really be opposed to having a button you could press to link you straight to your personal stats sheet? I mean, it's not like you could do anything wile traveling still, just make it so we can see how we are doing wile we travel.
I'm pretty sure they would have shortcut programs to find key data quickly like who attacked who and when. I understand it would be impossible for a player to do it with the tools we have available, but I'm talking about staff or Ched himself here, not some regular joe.
Even at 250 wars a week, that's only roughly 5 reviews per hour, 8 hrs a day, 5 days a week. Basically a normal job. With tools to help them locate the most meaningful data, one could look over a war quickly.
It seems the topic has gone far from my OP, so none of this really matters lol.
I also mentioned a way to check wars, it just has to be done manually to ensure the most flexibility, but most people just glaze over the details. All they seem to WANT to see in their mind is some loser literally crying in some corner about losing. If that makes them smile then fine I don't mind being their punchline, and I don't mind wasting 10 min of their time to find some clever meme to toss at me.
Context is hard to portray in a wall of words and if they actually herd me saying what I wrote the opinion would be much different but I can't change that so meh. Till tech finds a way to put context to my words in a document I have no problem saying what I want to say and witness their willingly ignorant heads explode.
"consequences from free speech" I'll take that in the form of an ass beating. I only have a problem with those "consequences" when they are enforced by some law...
Tagging ANY speech with a label that winds up putting anyone in jail, prison, reduced benefits, restriction from public services, ect, is not free speech with "consequences" it's tyranny.
You got a long way to go till you find out what real "hate-spewing" speech is.
Trying to get me kicked out of a faction cause you can't figure out the XY part of your commi alphabet crew. I'll bet you think Trumpers are in a cult and free speech is bad right? The only reason your so insulted is cause your ego is about as fragile as a cracked eggshell.
I got people on here saying that I'm whining and crying (with some decent memes not gonna lie) and I don't care. They can think whatever they want, that's the beauty of free speech. You think I'm a bad quality player cause I speak my mind?
I'm pretty sure when they match you up they are matching you with 1 other faction based on that 1 factions stats. I actually DO have a problem with outside revives to so I'm with you on that one, it shouldn't happen.
I personally believe when a ranked war starts the only people you should be able to attack is the other team, everyone else in the game gets greyed out and YOU get greyed out to everyone else so they can't interact with you either. No outside revives, no outside hits, no bounties, no traveling.
1 faction vs 1 faction... why is that such a slippery slope to stand on?
Ill keep posting cheaters till I stop playing this game, I do not care at all if it makes any change. The goal is to let people know it's happening and to out the ones who do it. If yall think cheating is great and should be allowed then keep right on cheating. Eventually everyone will be cheating cause it's the only way to win and all you retards and morons out there screaming "it's just the way things are" will be here, in my position, asking Ched for change.
Y'all think i'm afraid to ruffle feathers and call out horseshit when i see it? I've been gone for a year and recently came back, this is all relatively new to me but new or not i'm not gonna just sit by silent and not call them out. I don't give a shit how much heat i get from it, cheating is cheating and ill post it every time.
I'm gonna make this short, SMTH - Silver Hand cheats in RWs. Putting it out there for anyone else who fights them. Using scripts for auto attacks and having huge factions like Flatline assist them with hits and hosping anyone not online for them to reduce targets(with scripts). I don't have a problem with knocking your own guys out to reduce targets, it's strategy, but do it with your own energy and your own people.
Ched, 90% of your game is great, but seriously, why call it ranked or competitive if it's not? Do other players in the Olympics get to assist other players? When football or soccer or any other game in the world is getting played competitively, is it ok for any other team to step in in any way to give them an edge? Of course not right?
You need to have someone on your team who moderates ranked wars. No lazy rule system you make is gonna stop this, they will always circumnavigate the rules and the sprite of real competition. All it takes is 1 person looking over the results of the wars that happen so they can see all the details and determine whether or not the match was legitimate. People discovered cheating should get the win stripped away and not be able to join RWs again for at least 2 months.
I have a much better reason to NOT be an activist you moron.
Making the idea of becoming societies cancer sound cool by suggesting your gonna get you laid, and trying to make it sound like it comes from some cavum of wisdom as you claim "50+" Whoever you are IRL you should be ashamed of yourself.
Am I the only one who thinks that the Nerve merits are a bit useless now compared to before?
I currently have 98 nerve, 5 of those are from nerve merits. That's 15 merits I could use on something else and I would still have 93 nerve which isn't nothing to scuff at.
Whereas in the old system I had 65 nerve with that same 5 nerve boost if I was to use the merits on something else in the old system it would account for a much larger chunk of nerve i can store on hand.
My suggestion would be to maybe bump up the merits from +1 nerve per upgrade to +2 nerve per upgrade. That would give it slightly more value than before and as people grow their nerve bars to insane amounts, even this +2 would become irrelevant.
kinda hard to have a discussion when they want you to talk a certain way and will discount every point you make cause they are more worried about being offended than accept the fact they are the issue.
You have a lot of problems, that sucks, but im not going to change the way i talk or change what i have to say and neither should anyone else because of the life someone else put you through. It sounds calas but the truth is it aint my problem, and your not going to make it my problem by telling me how to speak by telling me what's offensive to you and what's not and expecting me to change my attitude cause you or someone else may or may not like it.
People being asinine is a matter of perspective. It's not scientific what is actually constituted as asinine behavior because someone being asinine is a totally subjective matter of opinion, therefore it ridiculous to expect the large majority of people to change all their behavior because of a few people's subjective matter of opinion. If we all made rules based on subjective truths our nation would be in chaos ...
