- The wiki says starting a new faction costs $1,000 x the number of factions currently in the game, though a faction can be bought for less via the faction buying and selling forum thread. (documented; Faction — Starting A Faction, )

- Only the leader or co-leader can create positions and edit permissions. New members get a 'Recruit' position, then after 72 hours the faction's default position, which leaders can rename. - Wiki (2026-02): a player can have up to 10 pending faction applications. A declined or withdrawn application blocks reapplying to that faction for 72 hours unless the faction toggles applications.
